Just like the Force Awakens reel, they are making sure people know this film is in good hands. This film will be something totally new and different from what we're used to and I CAN'T WAIT! Great reel!

Watching the actor who played blue leader climbing into the X-Wing cockpit and laughing... I felt that moment so hard.

You know, 4 years later and I think Gareth Edward’s words are still ringing true to me. His philosophy on Star Wars is a great one to me. Showing reverence to the source material while bringing something new to the table. I think for me Rogue One has been my favorite movie to come out since the originals. You have movies like the prequels, like Rise of Skywalker which lean way too hard into the fan service nostalgia boom that they forget to do something cool and fresh. Then you have stuff like the Last Jedi that was such a radical departure from what we know and love that in a sense, it doesn’t feel like Star Wars anymore. I think Gareth’s philosophy should be the standard going forward. I hope he comes back to do more Star Wars stuff because man was Rogue One good. That being said I still love everything it’s Star Wars for crying out loud, and I hope the directions the franchise take next are new and exciting!

It's about time we see the nitty-gritty, dirty and morally grey things that happened during the Rebellion. After all, one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. TFA was good, but it was A New Hope and was all peachy Disney and happy. Let's get into the human element a bit. I'm so pumped for Rogue One.

I don't understand the hate in this comment section. TFA is freaking awesome, and people who are saying Rey is too good are very biased against her considering it was just one movie and we still know almost nothing about Rey and her back story yet and most of what Rey did was luck either in her favor or against her adversary. It is nothing that hasn't happened with Anikin and Luke. Now if Episode 8 and 9 come out and no explanation comes out for Rey THEN and only then does the Rey is overpowered argument hold any water. But until then can we just enjoy A Brand New Star Wars Trilogy for what it is A chance to enjoy a story of a larger than life battle against Good and Evil set in a Galaxy Far Far Away.

It amazes me that a film that takes place in an established era, a film that finishes 10 mins before a new hope, has more originality than a film that is set 30 years later in a new era.

It's weird how most of the scenes in this footage aren't in the final cut of the film. (Rogue One running on the beach, Cassian K2 and Jyn running through the Imperial Hallways with the death star plans, etc)

Remember guys, they did reshoots, so that's why a lot of this wasn't in the film, and that's in addition to things just generally being cut. But yeah, there were some scenes I was really looking forward to. Still an amazing film.

This looks cool, this is the kind of thing I wanted to see from TFA, not a remake of Episode 4, but a fun and enjoyable story set in the SW universe.

Something I have always adored about Star Wars is the use of practical effects, even today. It just makes it all seem so much more real and authentic. Can't wait!
