Coming off of the first half of Outlander Season 7, viewers find Claire (Caitríona Balfe), Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Young Ian (John Bell) leaving the colonies and arriving in their beloved homeland: Scotland. The perils of the Revolutionary War force them to choose between standing by those they love and fighting for the land they have made their new home. Meanwhile, Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) face new enemies across time and must battle the forces that threaten to pull their family apart. As loyalties change and painful secrets come to light, Jamie and Claire’s marriage is tested like never before. With their love binding them over oceans and centuries, can the MacKenzies and Frasers find their way back to each other?
The Outlander series spans the genres of romance, science-fiction, history and adventure in one epic tale, following the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945, who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743 Scotland. Can't wait for the show's return in Nov also. I do feel recent seasons have lost the magic of the first 3 seasons though - I feel it was the perfect mix of accurately brutal historical drama, sci-fi, romance across time, adventures around the world, intense edge of your seat stuff. A little tamer now on all counts. Hope the spin off is as intense as Outlander started out being.

Mine too. I’m in book 5……. Again 🥰. I start the entire series in the winter when ya just don’t get out as much. I like the books much better. Diana KNOWS how to write !!!!! I don’t like this next book being the last of the series though. Like Jen and Mandy will grow up, marry, she’ll be a healer like her granny-…. Jen will take over the Big house , marry and raise a family and Roger and Bree will be in their original cabin - I got it all figured out ♥️🥰. But Diana HAS to write it ♥️ The TV series is too far off from the books. Murtagh died, but he’s back in the TV show 😡. Rogers eyes aren’t green and Diana emphasized on those. Bree should’ve been played by the tall red head on the ‘70’s tv series and Jamie is SUPPOSE to be SO TALL that Claire’s nose goes only to his neckline. They have the best Claire though. Jamie should’ve been Liam Neison. Watch him in Rob Roy 👍👍👍👍👍👍. And he’s a dream ♥️♥️♥️too like this Jamie actor is in the TV series. I watched a couple on W network when it first started and was very disappointed. I was like NO! That’s NOT how it happened ! NO!!!! Murtagh is dead I stopped watching it altogether I can sit HOURS and just read though ♥️♥️

@@Ana_Paula.Frasson NOPE. Season 6 is absolutely AWFUL and almost made me quit. Season 7 part 1 gets interesting towards the end but the series has lost its magic, imo. I'm really not interested in this Independence War, these parts are truly boring unlike the other wars and fights seen throughout the series. Ps: But since season 8 is going to be the last one, if you want to know how the series end... It's really up to you. 🤷‍♀️

@@shizukagozen777 Personally I think too much focus on Brianna and Roger - who are boring AF - has brought down the quality and killed the magic of the show a lot. I honestly don't care one bit about them, it would be a blessing if they just disappeared. It's not that I don't like any other people than Claire and Jamie, I love Young Ian, Fergus and Marsali, they're awesome. Loved and miss Murtagh. Love Jenny. But Brianna and Roger.... 😑

I couldnt have said it better my self. Plotwise they are the more interesting element at s7 mid seasonf break, but as characters it's a no for me. The show is also making the Revolution so boring compared to how s2 filmed the '45 rebellion. @@medusaslair

I am thinking more 2026 in the fall probably 4 episodes then the last 4 in the winter; probably will discontinue Starz until the winter of 2025 or until the end of November; I will have to watch both season 6 and the first half of season 7 to remember where we are at.

I usually support decisions made by Starz but this was a terrible one. Like you said, they went on and on about how many more episodes season 7 would have but it really looks like we have two seasons of 8 episodes each. Which is fine but that’s how it should have been marketed from the start. Instead fans were led to believe that even if there was a hiatus, the wait would only be a few months like it was in season 1. Not over a year!

This is one of my favourite shows. I'd like the ending of this show be so, that Jamie and Claire would also be in the future with Roger and Brianna with their children. But as seen, Jamie propably can't travel. :( I'd like to see him in the modern world. I think Jamie would do just fine in the 1980's.

I will consider season 7B as season 8. Season 8 will be season 9 for me. When I watch season 6, I consider episode 7.1 the finale for season 6 because that is a better finale and season 6 was truncated due to Covid.

In that header, she said that there's more to announce, but what, a release date? Appearances? To what and where and more importantly, how expensive?? We shall see...
