Rugmini is a Malayalam film, directed by KP Kumaran, starring Nedumudi Venu and Anju in the lead roles. Kumaran won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Director for the film.
Rugmini, a little girl, ends up in a brothel after being molested by her stepfather. A police inspector who frequents the brothel realizes her innocence and begins to consider himself as her father.
