Fucking A! Gary Oldman is BETTER than DeNiro and Pacino in that he is a chameleon! He disappears inside every role! And Jackie Flannery is his BEST performance in my opinion!

Fuck'em. Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, all movies that 'failed' when they were released. Now considered masterpieces. All GREAT movies find their audiences eventually.

Goodfellas was released the same year as State of Grace and so it got overshadowed by Martin Scorsese’s gangster movie. But I agree, State of Grace is one of the best Irish gangster movies of all time. Blows The Departed away in my book.

Yes and his best performance in any movie and that's no small feet can anybody link to some of the other scenes like when they were arguing in the building when they were waiting to see if Frankie called after Jackie killed Jimmy carvello and Terry had it was trying to convince them that they were only supposed to move if Frankie called like I can die a happy man if I can see that

Yeah, especially as I read somewhere it was unscripted, if you watch you can see the real look of shock on everyone's faces when he does it, apparently the extra took it quite well and was just happy his part had become more prominent in the scene!

Apparently Oldman got the part after drunkenly singing Like A Virgin outside the place Sean Penn was staying early one morning. This was just after Penn had his very public split with Madonna.

@@PostalWorker14 ya just a movie I know. It was a good movie, but in real life man that would be bad. I know how the mafia and mob works. They think their lives mean everything, but no one else counts, and then karma hits. In real life, I try to avoid fighting man it's just stupid.

Hi. I believe it is old town bar or that may be the scene where they go to shake down the owner over the Bushmills
@orbtastic

Mulberry Street Bar? It goes by other names. It's the one he (Noonan) first meets Jackie in and the one they have all the cops in later for the funeral. I don't think it's the bushmills scene, that's the pub where Jackie shoots Cavello? They all look a bit alike from the inside. I'd have to watch it again to be sure.

Yeah this scene is amazingly brutal Gary oldman's performance in this was just beyond incredible. Sean Penn and and it Harris we could too but it was nothing compared to Gary Oldman I mean that awful Goodfellas movie ruined the potential of this I don't know why people think Goodfellas is a good movie that Court it glorifies a snitch Joe Pesci is a joke Robert De Niro was great in it but he can't compare to Gary oldman's performance in this. De Niro was the only person that was worth anything in that movie and he ended up being snitched on and thrown in jail God do I hate that movie. If I thought I could really get the money for killing Henry Hill I would be searching for him right now because yeah that's not my picture on the comments I make it doesn't behoove me to post my own picture but yeah what a fucking said a piece of shit but I'm sure that in the modern surveillance State I don't think I would get away with it long enough to get my money

@Kabukichō well okay awful no but it's nowhere near as good as State of Grace and it blew it ruined state of grace so I guess I was a little angry when I left the comment but I leave on my comments up but now Goodfellas is not awful it's overrated it's not the best mob movie ever by any means any it's about a snitch but yeah it's a good movie and it's certainly not awful. You just don't realize how good state of graces and came out same week as Goodfellas and Goodfellas ruined it. Plus I don't like the fact that it's about a worthless rat snitch
@aaronbradley3232
@aaronbradley3232 3 жыл бұрын
@Kabukichō but there are awful parts to it like Joe pesci and Robert de Niro basically saved the movie. I mean you take them two characters out of it and it's a shitshow. But now I admit I was wrong. Still give State of Grace to watch again to you you enjoy it. Especially if you like snitches so much but in this case well I don't want to give away the ending
@aaronbradley3232
@aaronbradley3232 3 жыл бұрын
@Kabukichō I don't know why you're comment got. Deleted I don't control this believe me I'm far from autistic. There used to be honor in the mob. You know those movies are older okay and based older times there weren't snakes and weasels everywhere and I have no idea why your comment is taken down I sure as hell couldn't take it down this is not my video I have no control over your comments and it showed up on my notifications because I quoted your snakes and weasels thing but you don't realize that they were based before the before there were no there was no honor among thieves so whatever I was just recommending a better movie I like it better than casino too but casinos really good again it's de Niro and pesci plus it's actually more accurate than the Henry Hill story but anyway I don't know I didn't take your comment down so stop crying about it and insulting me because there was an are steak on KZfaq in fact there's been a lot of mistakes with some of my comments on KZfaq lately I think they're having some problems.
