I met two guys at Nurburgring last year who had saved for nearly 15 years and DROVE from VENEZUELA just to do some laps in their Ford Mondeo. These people kiss the tarmac when they arrive. The passion must be understood before you question the person.

I have a friend who goes down there from Sweden once a year. He witnessed alot of obnoxious drivers who blame the track and marshals instead of their own kamikaze like driving style when it went bad. One D-head got kicked out and banned for threatening other drivers and the staff after he smashed his rust bucket into a barrier.

The amount of debris, car parts, dirt and oil on this track makes it a literal death trap.

That has to be something like a club track day event. They don't normally allow "racing" and will stop you and make you leave if the catch you driving unsafe.

This is the normal tourist ride on the Ring!?!?!? Care- and reckless driving, overtaking on the right, overconfidence. Not by everyone, of course, but a few overdoing it are enough to make things dangerous. I would also like to experience the Ring “from the inside” once or twice a year, in addition to the viewing from The Brünnchen. No normal road user dares to do that anymore. The Nürburgring Company, which is subsidized with a lot of public money, should think about it. My suggestion: A few 'family days' a year with a controlled speed limit. Merchandising sales would also increase if more people than always the same amateur racers could use the Ring. The Nürburgring is a national cultural asset that must remain accessible to everyone. And if there is no other way, then with a broader range. I know I'm probably wrong with my thoughts on this or similar channels, so please stay factual and respectful 🙂
