On this Station Saturday, SMFR Firefighters take you on a tour of Firehouse 11 located at 2255 W. Berry Ave. in Littleton, Colorado. During the year 2020 Engine 11 was South Metro's busiest Engine Company, responding to 2,300 incidents while Medic 11 responded to 1,779 incidents.

As a Retired CAPT/TRT/Medic/Hazmat/FireFighter it was fun to see the Guys play around. Some called us 5 year old for games we played but was always safe and fun. It always helped take stress of calls away. Take care and Stay safe Gents and Ladies

That is a uniquely built station, with the different bay lengths, the curve at the rear. Very nice to get a look around 11 house. Thank you.

Nice station and well done with the tour, thank you. Now being a medic, I am sure you have something for someone that jumps out and scares you, haha, actually a cup of something tossed forward will help. Seriously, love to see everyone have fun, hopefully get along but be able to cover each others back when needed. Stay safe.

First off Merry Christmas from Upstate, N.Y. I very much like seeing what various paid fire stations look like. It is very informative seeing them. We have 32 volunteer fire stations in our county and none paid. Volunteer stations are very different than paid fire stations. I look forward to your future videos and thanks so much for sharing. I became a volunteer fireman in 1978.

I believe what they mean by that is it's a distinct building that they have plans for in case of a fire or other incident. Fire Departments usually work with the major businesses like hotels/motels and other businesses that may have unique hazards (i.e. chemical storage, a confusing floor plan, a large complex) so the firefighters that respond have a baseline to start off on.

@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO When I started in the fire service back in the early '80s, we ran a few E-Ones and they worked like a charm. I have always been an E-One and Pierce fan, if firetruck manufactures have devotees!

Not sure if you guys have done a fleet Friday on a 4 door medic unit, but I'm wondering what the benefit of having the bigger cab is, don't you still only run the medics with two guys on? Thanks

There was one on Medic 18, and there isnt really any special benefits of it and the 4 door medics were purchased by Littleton Fire Rescue and it can be useful if a family member is going to hospital as well, or a ride along or similar things

My guess is yes, because sometimes for adequate staffing people have to be moved to different stations, as well as for situations like overtime and shift trades.

There is no TEMS that is active now and it hasnt been active for many years and they most likely wont add a second EMS Supervisor, at least not at the moment

I like this station because police 🚔 is near you, will be great if all in the world are built one next to ich other because two work forces can understand and help ich other, people can make friends and other types of human interaction 😀 I see you have a big flat roof, that will be great if you will be allowed to make it in a big terrace with garden and stuff, you can exercise there and many more 😇
