As we are down to our last little bit of water, I need to procrastinate a bit longer and get distracted doing other things.

Can't wait until you start on the water - in 3 episode's time :)

Cheeky. I never procrastinate. I might think about procrastinating but then put if off until another day.

You can basically see the system I think he is going to build in his Stationeers Latent Heat Video. Pretty much everything so far he done he has covered in that earlier vid.. With some modifications of course. He shows it real quick and is a little complicated. But at this point you should be able to make it out.

You're going to have to paint your jet pack canister brown now, Mick -> Now that you're filling it with fart gas from the poopy-brown pipe outside. 😜

Had the same issue with the combustion centrifuge with 10% throttle from stationary. Had to modify the script i was using to do a short pulse to 20 throttle and back to 10 to get it going. Traders also sell water, with your luck you should get it on the first try😊
@cowsareevil75146 ай бұрын
Using the traders for water would be a fail for me. I have to survive with what I have. (except for the seeds)

I saw a clever script that uses volume pumps to make fuel mixtures instead of a mix valve so that it is temperature independent. Invaluable...
@cowsareevil75146 ай бұрын
I have written scripts like that before. I have unlimited volatiles on Vulcan so it is easier to run everything volatile rich.

Hope you remembered you are one chute short on your centrifuge to furnace line... would hate for you to lose all that ore. I personally toss a stacker between the miner output and the silo input, saves storage space if you ever decide to expand your mining setup.
@cowsareevil75146 ай бұрын
Chute has been fixed while cleaning up after the episode. I like to have the centrifuge keep up with the mining. The silo is just a buffer for when I empty the centrifuge.

In the gas Pressure Regulator kit there is an option called "Purge Valve". This effectively works like a back-pressure regulator, but for liquids. Once the liquid input goes above the set pressure, it pumps all input (liquid or gas) into the output gas pipe. It works at the speed of a normal pressure regulator though, so you might want to put down a few of them and use a circuit to turn them on/off (to save power).
@cowsareevil75146 ай бұрын
There is no liquid pressure. What you see is the vapour pressure. The purge valve will only take the gas.
@_Lord_BoNes6 ай бұрын
@@cowsareevil7514 For my testing, I set the pressure setting to zero and use an IC to control them. In this testing I saw liquid transfer to the output gas pipe (enough purge valves pull full vacuum).

5:40. Did you vent some furnace gasses? That's how I messed up my stuff. I must admit, my comment on your water, was for the wellbeing of your caricature (a bit), manly it was for myself. I am struggling with H2O in my base. There is just so much heat in water that my cooling fails. Am going to copy your cooling design. Yours is more powerful for a bit more power use. As always, love your content and gameplay.
@malkuth19746 ай бұрын
You should be running your water through a radiator at night outside first. That way your only dealing with 124 degree water if on vulcan. And thats pretty easy to cool with the system mick shows how to build in this series.
@cowsareevil75146 ай бұрын
2000litres of cold coolant should be enough to cool things down.
@pvstiphout6 ай бұрын
@malkuth1974 Thank you for the help. I am using the atmo to pre cool the water. The 600 degrees day temp makes that problematic. Cooling in 3 stages. 1 watermaker to 700 degrees, day and night. 2 700 to 140 at night. 3 140 to 30, the temp i set myself. My base cooling is just not up to the task for stage3.
@malkuth19746 ай бұрын
@@pvstiphout you have a few options, you can set up a valve that only opens at night to let water from the outside inside at 140. Or you can do the opposite and make sure the pipe leading to inside from outside purges all the water from outside before day. All with simple logic. My base is pretty much only operates at night when dealing with g with outside gasses. And you want to be using the larger radiators and not the small ones that fit over pipes. It’s almost instant cooling with larger radiators.

Glad you are going to start on the water soon. The atmosphere will give you all the co2 and vilitiles you need and you can chill the water fairly easily given your set up but my concern is that some plantsay not convert enough co2 to o2 to give back more wayer than it took to make the o2 is that a concern? Also aren't you putting all the gass rich ore into your hot furnice thus risking overpressure and a basr shattering kaboom? Sholdent the ore degass in the "cold" furnace. Oh qnd ore degassing seems like a plausible routti get some n2
@AnonNopleb6 ай бұрын
I think the ores are already degassed after the centrifuge. You'd have to get N2 from hand mined ores. If I'm not mistaken, there is a possibility to multiply N2 using the Nitrolyser and combusting the nitrous with volatiles. But you'd have to sacrifice O2 in that cycle (though you also get more CO2 back)
@cowsareevil75146 ай бұрын
I will eventuall need an overpressure but most of the ore is degassed before going in to the hot furnace. It will go cold if I dont degass.
@jezm-l39416 ай бұрын
Is it wise to use atmosphere for your jet pack Mick? You use that inside and you are gonna fry some stuff. Would it be better to use the CO2?
@malkuth19746 ай бұрын
Ya thats what I use is the Co2 from my waste. It does have oxy in it too, so he might not want to waste his oxygen, but now that he has good supply of oxy its no big deal.
@cowsareevil75146 ай бұрын
It is only the safe room where that would be a problem but CO2 would be smarter and I do have a good supply of it in the safe room.
@jezm-l39416 ай бұрын
@@malkuth1974 O2 would be a bad idea as well as it will ignite the volatiles when he uses it outside.
