Coding, coding, coding. You have been warned.
Now that imminent dehydration has been solved and the most likely cause of death is now stupidity, I can start some automation for the half but things. And when I say some I mean just about all of them. So it is coding time for the water, power, storm, daytime, alarms and public address systems. I am in the zone today.

Small QoL idea. Save batch into all transformers on the main power line their desired output power, so everytime you put up new one, you dont need to madly click to set them manually :)

That is a good idea. I could also have the power system shut off transformers when the power is low.

Setting up occupancy sensors and batch writing to lights and such is a good way to save power

Remember the counting seconds that water level is unchanged, in order to divide the change by how many seconds so the rate of change will be more meaningful.

Loving the series! I tried using your Printing Logistics V4. Trouble shooting what I'm doing wrong is a brain teaser, Something tells me I havn't setup the system correctly / Set the Dpins right.

A bit late to the party, but you could also store the alarms in a secondary register, and do a comparison... So that if the current alarm cycle matches the previous alarm cycle, it jumps to start and skips the broadcast... So you would only get the alarm once, then the system would ignore it until the alarm status changes.

This would work, but I think I (personally) would still use the repeated alarm. I would forget the last alarm due to my ADHD and getting distracted.

I could do more of the same but then I wouldn't learn anything new, so I tried something I havent used before. And there is a lot of hot things around that area that might be a problem.

Hey Mick, do you think there's a way to automate the trickling in of ores from your centrifuge? Like a means of automating slowing it down, opening it up, and then getting it going again.

It can be done but I need to make sure the furnace is ready for them. So I would need to store them or make another dedicated furnace

For the storm warnings, why not add some timing steps so the warnings repeat say three times at 20 second intervals and then wait a couple of minutes? That should give you some redundancy in case you miss/ignore/forget the first one but still not have it constantly going off. Also, typo in video name

I could wait until the last 2 minutes before giving the warning instead of the whole 12 minutes.

@@cowsareevil7514 Alarm sounds have numbers too, so maybe alarm for first storm detection and then last three minutes countdown every minute? I think there are only "one" "two" "three" alarm sounds

You could also leverage a stack, to cycle through the alarms instead of just having a "winner." A few seconds sleep between each. "Low power. Storm incoming."

Idk if you use mods but there’s a nice “end of game” mod that adds some expensive items such as “forever filters” that never run out but cost lots of ore.

That's stock in game, it just lacks recipe so you need to trade/salvage for that Also he is using mods for painting cans

One thing i don`t get is what stops the furnace tank to get warmer and warmer. The H2 combuster will heat it up but the heat has no place to go so temp will continue to rise, mine is 1700 degrees and rising, where does it stop or did i miss a thing?

Is there a state on the printers telling you if they are currently printing? If there is one you could automatically shut down the printer transformer if the printers are ideling for let say a minute. This should save a lot of power when you forget to turn of the transformer.

Maybe check output slot and if nothing is there for minute turn off?

I con turn off the printer but the data for the transformer is external to the circuit, So I cant switch it off from the printer side.

If they didn't change anything, printers are not consuming a lot when idle. Stackers, on the other hand, consume like 100 W each. Sorters probably consume a lot too.

I feel like appliance idle power consumption really needs a nerf. It shouldn't take 100W to periodically pulse a sensor to wake up the rest of the circuitry :( Seriously, like 4 idle stackers consume as much power as my whole computer does playing the game. 100W is a lot of power. Assuming a 24v control system, that's *over 4 amps.*

Coding/mechanics question: Is there a reason why you can't write to the setting of the circuit housing instead of using the memory?

I think the housing setting is already used to graph, he needed a secondary output

The memory has two data connections, so I can use it to pass data from the local cable to the heavy power cable by connecting both circuits to the same memory.

Only way I found to get a logic data across networks (Transformer/APC) without jumbling them is a Logic Mirror

Logic mirror or a logic memory used to be the only ways to do it, but then they added data channels. I havent used the data channels before, so i thought I would give it a go.
