Not my my fav Depeche song but it has grown on me over the years especially that "I loved her" bit gives me the chills especially the way they sing it with their beautiful voices They may be known as a synthpop band but their songs are so emotionally charged they are much more than a just another synthpop band They are Legend

My secret garden's not so secret anymore Run from the house holding my head in my hands Feeling dejected, feeling like a child might feel It all seems so absurd That this should have occurred My very only secret And I had to go and leak it! My secret garden's not so secret anymore! No, my secret garden's not so secret anymore! Run through the fields, down to the edge of the water Can't stay long, here comes the reason why - She'll catch me if she can, Take me by the hand I'll have to keep on running And I just can't see the fun in My secret garden not being secret anymore! It used to be so easy On days such as these she'd Search and search for hours In among the flowers I loved it! - I loved her! Play the fool, act so cruel - I loved it! Read her book, take a look - I loved her! It all seems so absurd That this should have occurred My very only secret And I had to go and leak it! My secret garden's not so secret anymore!

Alan could play with just one hand, where others would need two.

David Sanderson the Minimoog is monophonic. Which means it CANNOT play more than 1 note at a time. So he's just pretending for the video...

You are a group of the highest caliber! I've been a fan since 1984, and back-tracked, too. Much Love from the USA, to you. Your friend always, With greatest love, Adria (адриа) SAG-AFTRA actress, voice-overs, dancer, and professional driver

Brilliant song! The key to DM is melodic singing of songs over synths. They still have a song people can relate to and sing along with backed by great synths. EDM of today is boring and repetitive dance music with no songs or melodies to identify with. DM were much better!
@davidsanderson59189 ай бұрын
'EDM of today is boring and repetitive dance music with no songs or melodies to identify with'....you've summed it up perfectly with every word there. Pop music is over really. A spent force. But fortunately we still have plenty to listen to from the past. I'm happy enough with that. If the young'uns only want the same generic background music to drive around with, smoking their spliffs, then that's how it is.
