I don't care what anyone says about the quo, yes simple riff tunes but they absolutely rocked the world end of discussion....in 40/50 years they still filled stadiums and made what I call a show for them which they did every time...lost rick but you guys kept going...I'll leave it with Rick parfitts statement and he said, "if we can make the world a little better with rock n roll then so be it"..said this in 1991...nice one status quo, you did exactly what it said on the tin, rock n roll👍

The kids aren’t in the room MrMotor, they checked out in the mid-80s, they know how it’s done, and it doesn’t need a guitar but an E pill, a sequencer or later a computer and someone who knows how to make beautiful tones and wicked beats that are played in loops…done. No guitar heroes needed.
@MrMotorNerd2 жыл бұрын
@@mebeasensei Raves have been around since the late 60,s and evolve . I know the game . This era is exactly like i said , PURE SKILL . Get your sequencer dude to actually play the same thing on 2 different nights , yeh good luck with that unless pre-recorded .cheers
@mebeasensei2 жыл бұрын
@@MrMotorNerd ..the kids don't care about lil ol me... Skill and hero worship...they haven't for 30 years..They want sound..and beautiful sound. It's like wearing a cool piece of kit..doesn't matter whether you made it or not. You chose to wear it. Look at the top 100 songs of 2020. Almost all made on computers with loops.

@@mebeasensei Good music is good music . I'm not a hater . Just pointing out a great example of analog RnR . Sure it's a song and not 8 hours nonstop but Great bands play 2 hour sets . That's insane craftsmanship

.Quo,s timing and ability to play off each other is awesome, not to mention the fast tempo of the song, as a musician I know it's very rare to have this kind of synchronicity between 4 musicians. @ep94212 жыл бұрын
Underrated, my arse they were never underrated. Quo was one of the best live bands to see. No other band could have opened Band Aid like Quo did. Some other fool said the same thing about two time Grammy Award Winner Rickie Lee Jones. The word Underrated is overused. Only a handful of bands have lasted 50 plus years and Quo is one of them.

@@ep9421 '" No other band could have opened Band Aid like Quo did. " Even if they didn't remember doing it!😎 Only ever saw them twice back in the 70s. Once at a Granada cinema in East London when I nearly fell off the balcony, and once at the old Empire Pool in Wembley. That gig was fkn amazing. The first 6 rows of seats were wrecked by all the nutters jumping around with their cardboard guitars! Two van loads of us went from South East London, fuck knows how we got home in one piece we were a bit the worse for wear to say the least, and deaf for 2 days afterwards. I'll never forget the sight of of one of the Corps of Commissionairs ( old fashioned security guards ) standing in front of the stage by a fire exit right underneath one of the huge speaker stacks with two bloody great wads of cottonwool hanging out of his ears. I don't think it was his kind of music.😨😀
