These guys' music always livened up a flagging house party, don't care what the negative critics ever said. Their longevity in the business speaks volumes for their success. Always enjoyed Quo, no fancy crap, what you saw is what you got...and it was superb.

Rick had been winning and runner up at Butlins Talent Contests from an early age. Got his first professional gig as a 6 month residency at a holiday camp in Hayling Island, Next year off to Butlins in North Wales, met the Spectres and the Rest is History.

Great to see Jeff Rich in the Quo in this number. He was the best drummer they ever had. He could really drive the band, and this is a great example of his playing.

Richard Penniman would love this cover version of his song. This version throbs and swings. Parfitt's vocals prove that he is/was one of the best Rock singers of all time!! The whole Famous In The Last Century covers album is full of my favourite songs, as is the RIFFS covers album. It's uncanny how my favourite band has the same taste in music as I do. LONG LIVE THE QUO!!

Just saw John Fogerty live a couple weeks ago and he ripped it up with his cover of this song as well. Status Quo are one of my favorite bands and they do a great cover as well. But lets not forget there is still plenty of good new music just as well as not to discount the past where it was pioneered folks. Music is great and all genres and era's have their glories and their gories!
