The band actually formed in 1962 and had several names before becoming 'The' Status Quo in 1967, then just Status Quo in '68, notably 'The Spectres' for a number of years, and 'Traffic Jam'.

Ah .. BLESS YOU MAN !! You and all others who picked up on why they still are up on that f'in stage.. They Mean it ..and they got it. Hell, this was freakishly good, hard rocking, Rhino looked like he'd started that day as a mr Parfitt did way back in 76 and the making of the Mystery Song intro ! :D I listen to this 5-8 times a week. Oh, and found me a "new" band the other day .. Talk about being slow, but they came when they came and with a bang: Massiv Wagons .. They are diehard Quo fan, and whoo what a tribute video they did with Back to The Stack - a Tribute to Rick Parfitt To the evergoing Lancasters. It is never the same when personell change. Who's to say what's best once a band climb those last and hardest Rocking stairs .. ? AC/DC pre or post Bon Scott? To me it is with Bon and the BIB and FTATR albums. Most after that is, a good listen by all means; but to me..it doesn't grab me like a Up To My Neck In You and all the nuance they had with Bon. Like Quo they grew ever so slick tight and whatever era had its own perfection. What when a bands incarnations are all up on those highest stage; measured in quality in a variety of ways. Even those who don't like em among music journos have become many filled with awe and many a surprise review was written with Matthew arriving and never looking back from late 99' .. What when the most likely reason for choice of preference is ones own taste pure and simple ? Live and let Live and Rock On .. What Alan gave us with brutal depth and energy for 14 years straight, Rhino had eras imo. Honoring Alan and the 70's band at their best I dare say he reached only after Matt arrived. Or rather it became much more prolific. His album contributions esp the 4-5 latest albums, add on several live Here and Now of "WTF man ? Aren't you 71 years old you Italian blues rocker ? Hardly look it; sounds fresh and hungry as teenagers on speed, how they steam on .. It is so precise, so We Fucking Mean It so rock with us or Piss Off - no offence. That vibe we all know from the most Bee in their bonnet gigs .. none prisoner taken .. ;) long may they still ROCK !!

ALAN LANCASTER FORMED THE BAND WITH FRANCIS IN 1962 AND HE LEFT THE BAND IN 1984/85, BECAUSE HE PLAYED AT 'LIVE AID'. THAT IS 22/23 YEARS THAT ALAN PLAYED WITH ROSSI. ALAN WAS VERY TOLERANT AND PATIENT FOR A LONG TIME, UNTIL 'MARGUERITA TIME' BROKE HIM.

What's that salty liquid coming from my eyes? Oh, bugger me, I'm crying. Great to see the old Frame enjoying himself. Richie Malone's Guitar is tuned to sound like Rick's, meaning it sounds like Rick, note perfect. Leon Cave is doing himself proud on the skins. Rhino and the Acid Man are sounding OK as well. Um, I thought I went to THE LAST OF THE ELECTRICS TOUR IN 2017 in Sydney. I bought the CD and the T-Shirt. Here they are sounding great in 2019.

I wouldn't expect it to be the same as I think that it is good for a new band member to bring their own mindset and way of things to their performance than be a carbon copy of their predecessor no matter how good they may have been.
