One of the first singles I bought. I was ten years old. I heard it on Top of the Pops and spent an entire week scraping together the 75p needed to buy the record. I went to Smyths Records in Newtownards to purchase it. At the counter, to my horror, the till rang up 80p. The price of singles had gone up during the week, and I didn’t have enough money. Seeing my embarrassment, the young man at the till was unhesitant in letting me have it for 75p. I have never forgotten that small act of kindness.

My dad met these guys. It was during 1979, I think, when they toured the Netherlands. He was on his first visit back to Holland after leaving in 1955 and was in the bar of a hotel in Utrecht, when some "long haired rockers" came in. Dad was older and not much interested in modern rock and decided to go back to his room and leave the rockers to party. But as the bar was empty, the rockers said, "Hey, stay and have a drink with us." Well, dad was never one to pass up a beer, so he agreed to stay for a drink and ended up having an awesome time, long into the night. As a 12-year-old, I didn't catch the meaning of the story he told when he came home, but I always remembered the name "Status Quo." Holy shit! ... My dad partied with Status Quo! You rock dad... Geez, I miss you!

Hey Holland. I love Quo since I was 12/13, 1977 (brugklas) and never stopped loving them. Great story. Empty bar in a hotel in Utrecht when Quo performed there? Wow. I've never seen them live.

I heard this song in a very small bar in Munich, it was performed by a local rock cover band, that was the first time I ever go to a bar and the first time to ever listen to a live music and it was definitely the most beautiful day of my life.

When I was really young, we used to live in France before we moved back to England, but we still went out to the old house every year, everytime I would get to France, I would sit on the floor of the living room, and ask Dad to put on this song, I don't know where I'd heard it, or how I knew it, but it was my favourite, and I would always look forward to listening to it, and now, as a teenager, I still love it

It was Bob Geldof who did not know who he was going to have for the giant Live aid where he suddenly jumped up from his chair and started singing Rockin all over the world. but the guys from the Status quo were somewhat reticent about it and did not think they were good enough but Bob got them persuaded ..

An amazing band! My nephew John #962 National Hot Rod World Champion in 2013 had Rockin all over the World as his theme tune. We left home in Northern Ireland to that great tune and arrived at Ipswich pounding out that great beat! It's been our theme ever since. Every time we all get together it's the greatest song ever. The first chords, everyone is on their feet, it's amazing, love it! Thank you guys.

I swear, when I was a kid in the 80's and Quo videos up until that point had come on TV, I honestly couldn't tell whether Rick was a man or a woman with that blonde mane. The Mighty Quo will always be icons of Great English Rock.

They should tour again, best band I have ever seen and that includes all the other greats including Queen, Rolling Stones, The Who I have seen them all Live and none of them could hold a candle to Quo...
