In this video we talk about the 2 day per year (1 day every 6 months) rule that Dubai has for residence visa holders and is it enough to be a tax resident and pay less taxes. Many people in the Dubai setup industry will try to sell you on the idea that you only need to spend 2 days per year in Dubai to pay zero tax, and that you shouldn't worry about your home country's taxes. That's a recipe for trouble with your tax authority.
We need to look carefully at your origin country's tax rules for tax residency and moving to another country, then we can analyze how much time you need to spend in Dubai, or any other place you choose for lowering taxes. We've helped over 250+ set up their business and taxes in Dubai and we know the rules in and out that will help you make the right decision.
Who is the Wealthy Expat?

If your home country see you as a tax resident, then the 90 days spend in Dubai is useless, even if you have a home in UAE. They will say, “OK, show me the tax residency certificate from Dubai”. What i mean, if two countries see you as their tax resident, they will apply the tie-breaker rule in order to decide in which country are you a tax resident. But the “tie-breaker rules apply only if you provide a tax certificate from UAE. Cheers!

Nothing says you can't winter in Dubai, summer in Montenegro, or Italy, or Spain, or France, or Portugal, or Albania, and vacation in Mauritius, Seychelles, the Maldives, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, or Indonesia. With a St Kittsian or Nevisian citizenship if you prefer, the only country other than the UAE where you have a residence permit that you would need to obtain a visa in advance to travel to in the above outlined scenarios is Thailand and they do not make it particularly hard to obtain a visa for tourism. And St Kitts with there zero percent tax rate is unlikely to claim you owe them any tax rate or request a proof of tax residency from you. In that case, spending 183 days in the UAE is unlikely to make much difference to any tax authority if St Kitts is your only citizenship. If you have a permanent abode in any of those other countries it becomes more of an issue, but if you stay in long term AirBNBs in each, no one will ever bat an eye about the UAE being your domicile even if you only spend 2 or 3 months a year living there.

First you said you have to spend 183 days in Dubai, afterwards you said 90 days per year. And now (today) you published a video on a 90 day tax residency. Why did you recommend 90 days when legally you were required to stay 183 days?

So true: competition shouldn’t turn into conflict. We don’t need more wars. China is a great trade partner. It has provided us with the capacity to get so much for our dollar. It allows American companies to turn their product ideas into something that we can afford to buy.

Bouncing around as a permanent traveler sounds great if you don't have school age children. Have you ever thought through how a family with kids could do the same and not disrupts the kids formal education? Would love to here comments from those who have actually done this. It would be great fun 😀 for a family 👪

@@nampmaljr9294 this can really look like sooo many ways! Some people choose to homeschool which is enrolling their kids in the school curriculum and doing it at home. As you are now not location bound you can do the same travelling around the world which starts been homeschooling. Still bound by the curriculum of your home country and the current education system. Others unschool meaning kids are not enroll in any education system, family travels the world either fulltime or in a slow way which we are doing now 6 months in one place (exploring around), then maybr 3 and 3 months in other places but following the kids interest to enrol them in activities for them to learn each kid is passionate about so following their lead on this. Or you can do a mix of unschool/ schooling which in each country youn go you can enrol them for a portion of the time into the country's schooling system if you/ they wish to. Of course there are challenges that families start resolving while on the road, like being totally free from they should be learning a,b,c by x age so we the parents need to unschool ourselves/ so its much more concious parenting and of course it takes much more from us educating our kids than just leaving it up to the system. In our particular case with two kids, we truly no longer believe in the system and feel like its a waste of time and not the best for their happines/ financial mindset to be enrol in the traditional school system that is a one size fits all and doesnt consider how each particular kid learns or what he/ she are interested on. Plus we can teach them and have much more time to teach them mindset and what we wish we were taught including financial independence, without getting what in our opinion is a risky option (I am an engineer, lawyer, doctor box) when we truly have no idea what the jobs of the future will be. To us it's like Robert Kiyosaki's rich dad says, school systems is meant for employees and doesn't really want to teach our kids about money, but to have workers for the industries that makes them money. We'll show our kids to create their own businesses and opportunities and own their time and life, instead of giving 40/ 50 years to someone else. The communities within each of this types of schooling outside the system is massively growing specially after the pandemic, so there are Worlschooling Familly Summits and pop-up schools around the world where the kids meet their friends and we meet hundreds of like minded families ❤

(scenario i make 250k in 180 days in Australia but leave on the last day of the 7 month I made 50k in that last month do i pay taxes on the total of 300k or just the 50k?)

It depends on what DTA (Double Taxation Agreement) exists, if any. If a DTA exists between the two countries, the taxes paid in one will give you tax credits to reduce how much you have to pay in the other. At the end of the day, consult a licenced accountant and/or lawyer in order to get the correct advice for your specific situation.

I'm not even Canadian, but I'll need to fact check everything he says now after he said Canada is turning dictatorship. Canada is pretty way up in the Democratic rank. Whereas, UAE is ranked 153 of 176. Too many people think having a lot of social programs to benefit the mass is dictatorship, and letting rich people off the tax is freedom. Now, I'm watching this channel to save on taxes too, but you shouldn't say such blatant misinformation. Please don't mix in your opinions and stick to the facts. Thanks.
@nIrUbU01
@nIrUbU01 2 жыл бұрын
Who cares about some silly democratic rank? Try to care about reality instead. The reality is that in Canada your bank accounts can be frozen without due process if you behave in a way the government doesn't want you to (and I am not talking about breaking the law). There's been a lockdown for 2 years, many essential freedoms have been taken away. You can go to jail for microaggressions and misgendering people lmao. Please explain to me how Canada is not turning into a dictatorship without using a made up democratic rank? And we don't even need to talk about social programs and taxes. That's a whole nother issue.
