Hi Jay, great video. I love the miracle mile shops. I have stayed at Planet Hollywood before and agree that the parking situation is not the best. Also, I agree that the room was just ok as well.

Greetings from Texas! For some reason never had desire to stay there, but I do love the shops and cheap eats. It is in a great area last week I stayed at Paris loved it because of the great area. Just started following, you are great love watching your LV videos. We are probably going back around late October/early November so keep ‘‘em coming, I’ll be watching!😊

PH has great food options (Ocean One/Earl of Sandwich/Pinup Pizza/Blondies) and a fun casino (Pleasure Pit). And the miracle mile shops are just a few steps away!👍 Love your videos!

I stayed at PH may 25 to may 29 and got a free upgrade with a fountain view and a queen size bed and free early check in. The room was amazing with the fountain view and the 2 sink bathroom! It’s mid strip and many dining options! PH is the best along with it being the Backstreet Boys residency from 2017 to 2019!

Stayed there last November with a Strip View. It wasn't bad. I'd stay there again, because of how amazing of a location it is. If you do a ride share it drops you off right at the lobby, but I could see how it would be a pain if you were driving. I did the online check-in, which means I just basically had to stop by the kiosk to get the keys. It was pretty smooth and I'd say the person helping at the kiosk wasn't mean or nice, they were just there. This was literally the only interaction I had with any of the hotel staff the whole time we were there. Vegas stays are becoming very anti-social and isolated anymore, the focus on experience is dry. I liked Ramsay Burger, even though it's pricey, great vibe to sit at their bar, lots of good beers on tap and all of the great inexpensive things at MM shops. It's a decent hotel, okay price in a great location. If you want high end you have to cross the street.

I've found Planet Hollywood to have some rude staff as well. Turned me off from staying there. Last year I had an issue with my Diamond rewards card and I was told they could not fix it, so I walked next door to Paris and they it fixed immediately. This year while staying at Paris, I happened to be walking thru Planet Hollywood and asked a staff member on the floor for directions, to which she replied "I have no idea". I thanked her, and found the nearest exit and do not have any plans of returning.

I've had mixed experiences. When they first renovated years back, we received a gift basket in our room which I thought I was going to he charged for. When I asked diamond check in, they said no it was for us and to take it. Great. Next couple stays nothing was special then again those stays were nye weekend so valet was slow and check in was ummm lack luster. I only get suites or mini suites there but def get treated better at other Caesars properties.

Nice video. I was there at the end of June 2023. The staff were ok, did not go above and beyond. When I stayed there in 2019 I had a much better experience than this time. Maybe the pandemic have changed the customer service experience. I would love to see you do a "magic" trip video(s). I went to see Shin Lim last time and was in awe of his performance.

The pool during the summer weekend is really fun. They have a DJ out there and I remember they had a twerk contest 😂 reasonable pricing for the cabanas also.

I stayed there in 2001, back when it was still Aladdin and only a few months old. Got upgraded to a Strip view room. I don’t recall the decor but it wasn’t the ‘blank white’ of your room. Nice room with a comfortable bed. That was the only time I stayed there but I usually visited there at least once during later trips. I liked the location. Not too deep into the biggest part of the Strip but very close. And, if you wanted to go south to MGM Grand, NYNY or others to the south, you aren’t excessively far from them, either. As I was never one to stay exclusively on-property, I’d visit 2 or 3 different places in a day out, sometimes more, it was an ideal location.

JAY- It would be SUPER HELPFUL to make a vid about the deal with the Chase Sapphire card and how things were set up initially. what actually happened and what is the best way to use the card to save on resort fees. I was gonna get the Sapphire card but now not sure. THANKS

Have never stayed at Planet Hollywood but love visiting the Miracle Mile shops and restaurants. I thought as long as you were a Diamond member you didn't have to pay resort fees. Surprised that they still wanted to charge you the fees just because you booked thru a 3rd party. Don't like that. Can't believe how rude they were to you at check-in too. That's just not right. They definitely need to improve their customer service. A video comparing magic shows sounds good. How about a video comparing non-casino hotels on/by the strip like Vdara, Trump, Westin, etc. Great review.

Hey Jay. Thanks and enjoy your reviews. Have to agree with you as a Diamond Member is no joke with ones investment. Planet Hollywood definitely a big minus. Last stay a few years ago disappointed with security.. Some drunk guy mustve went to the wrong floor. He kept banging on the door and told him he had the wrong room. Called the desk to report to security and blew me off said we cant help. No security ever came by. Feel all of Caesar properties needs security checks at elevator entrances and key in the floor.

Pin-up pizza used to be $6 for a slice of pepperoni pizza back when they opened in 2014. Other places on the strip prices for a slice only went up a buck or so and they taste better...lol

Great video Jay, I’ll be staying there in February! Quick question: why didn’t they wave your resort fee even if you’re a diamond member? (Same for the parking fee I believe). From what I’ve seen in their website, there aren’t exceptions for waiving the fees if you’re a diamond member.

Stayed there in May. Had the same view but my TV was next to the big closet. The bathroom is huge and love that tub. The reason they are replacing the door handles is because some time the doors do not close completely. I got a call one night from the front desk and they told me an officer was outside the door because it wasn't completely shut

I’ve stayed twice and I had great experiences got comp to a good view my first time bc a toilet overflowed the rest room so I thought that was cool !! So the 2nd time it was I had no complaints

Never book 3rd party websites. Good to see the property is always maintaining this older hotel. I can forgive the small deficiencies for it's location and convenience for the money.

Stayed at Planet Hollywood beginning of April for four nights house cleaning team turn up once clean the room that you use the same towels for four days. I won’t stay there again. I don’t mind adding make the beds but changed the towels every every day, including us

Were the towels on the ground or in tub? That's usually the signal when I need new towels, otherwise some people reuse their towels to be more "green".

It does seem like Caesars has the worst customer service compared to MGM. I’m MGM Gold this year and it took me an hour and a half to get status matched at Caesars. The line moved so damn slow. Good note on that Lids at Miracle Mile. I wanted a Vegas Knights cap last time I was there and I didn’t even think of going to that mall.

bro, where can u get a room that huge for 50 lol..102 was dirt cheap enough imo for center of strip location and miracle miles shop is defo the cheapest place with lots of cheap eats, u also had the pool and fitness room too..perfect for solo travellers on a budget

When I stayed there a few years ago was so looking forward to using the big bath tub but the water wouldn’t drain out properly and would plug up the sink and visa versa. Staff was not helpful at all to change room or fix the problem

(June 2023) For the Parking, If you do the self-check in, you still need to go to the check-in counter to pick up the card (with a barcode) if you are planning on getting in-out of the garage. Otherwise the regular room key doesn’t work and you need to call them from the machine upon exit. And the traffic around was horrible since they were doing constructions in the near by streets. As for the rooms, the walls are so thin I heard the next room sneeze, singing, and basically everything. I probably won’t stay at PH again even though the location is really good. Cosmopolitan across the street was much better. Easier to get in and out of the parking and didn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms. I am aware of the price difference but it’s worth it if you want to enjoy your stay fully!

I really liked Planet Hollywood when I stayed there about 8 years ago. Loved the Ultra Hip Foundation View room, great bathroom and appreciated the mini refrigerator. However, I have not cared for staying at Caesar’s properties since the last change in ownership. With all the financing debt the owners took on, they have made too many negative changes affecting customers. The cutbacks to housekeeping and janitorial staff has ruined the properties for me. They even cut down the amount of liquor in the drinks they serve. I still visit PH once every trip, just to visit the Miracle Mile shops and get lunch from Lobster Me. I should also point out they have the worst Chick-fil-a outlet there. The casino is filled with cigarette smoke and overflowing ashtrays. Most MGM properties are far better maintained and offer a safer environment for me. Did you know the Health Department shut down the PH pools last month? Not sure if they have reopened yet.

They did reopen and I would love to hear what the closure was about. They never released the details about what exactly caused it, that in itself makes me sick. I'm a Caesars member but have been giving serious thought to jumping ship. I'm going back next week and going to ask for a tier match at mgm properties.

@@Mac7504-OG supposedly “water chemistry violations” and inattentive lifeguards were cited. I suspect the water chemistry issue was either too much or not enough chlorine detected.

Great video, always love your stuff. We love hanging at PH but never stayed there. Just my opinion, but I find the rooms so incredibly tacky haha. I find it so off putting to have photos above your bed of strangers and hovering over the bathtub. I guess the designers thought that was a “Hollywood” theme? I find it confusing 🤣

Thanks for the video. I will continue to stay away from PH. Seems to be a bit of a hassle more than anything. Were there other rooms in those doors in the hall (after entering the main door)? Believe it or not, the first time i went to Vegas (2011), La Salsa was on thr strip, closer to the M&M store. The breakfast special was $3.49. same special. Still a decent price for 5.99.

I think everything I've read from Caesar's tells you they do not take away the resort fee even if you are Diamond, unless you book directly on their website.

I've heard other people have issues with Planet Hollywood as well. Its supposed to be nicer but some people i've talked to would rather stay at Linq or Flamingo (a renovated room) over Planet Hollywood.

The other guy who does vegas youtube said on his facebook group, the users said that rude staff was one of their biggest problems with Vegas but he said he has not encountered it. It looks like you have confirmed this by your check in process and her attitude with the resorts fees.

I'm surprised by the amount you paid for your stay. I just reserved the same room yesterday and getting buyers remorse, because the same room price is $334 a night from Oct 9th (Mon) to Oct 12th (Thurs) :(

I remember getting there before my check-in time and asked if there were any rooms available and the front desk woman automatically dismissed me and said absolutely not. She didn’t bother to check or lay it kindly to me. the hallway smelled like weed and I just didn’t like it there.

I liked PH until I stayed there for the last time last November. Self check in only, and the people assisting are not empowered to help with issues. There was a severe lack of empathy and professionalism. For that reason I will not stay anywhere that requires to to self check in. I don't work for the resort.

All the cheap eats are great at this property and so is the miracle mile shops😋😋😋 but staying at this hotel nah it's not for me🤔🤔🤔 anyway I think they need to build a new property here it's showing it's age now and yes I remember when it was being built it was cool years ago and the spice buffet was awesome but now.... I mean like forget it😕😕😕 oh and you should go and take a cruise Jay. Check out Regent Seven Seas, Seabourne, Oceania Cruises, Viking Cruises, and Silver Seas Cruises these are the good Cruise lines to go on and if they are to expensive for you check out Celebrity Cruise line they are a good alternative to the others for the price and tell your friend Dan he saved me a headache never to go on a Carnival or Royal Caribbean Cruise not that I was ever planning on doing so anyway I don't like cruises that cater to families with kids I'm to old for that LOL!!!!😋😋😋😋

Strip house doesn't accept celebration dinner so beware if you're expecting that.

To add, if you're diamond, they will and should remove resort fees, you should have pressed that issue. Also, if you're diamond, there's no reason to do self parking because valet is free, less tip. I would never walk their parking to hotel ever because it is far.

This is another hotel on the Strip that I've never stayed at. But I've seen other KZfaqrs said their staff were rude and the rooms weren't great. I think I've been inside the place once. I tend to stay away from Planet Hollywood. It looks too sketchy in the front area. 😂

Always good that you are honest, but feel you when things aren't overly bad but it can be lots of little things that start adding up and get under your skin. And rude employees make it that much worse. But a great video as always !
