We had a blast even though it rained a lot of the time. You can't really tell in the video that it was sprinkling the whole time we were at the beach. More Sugar Beach adventures to come!

Nostalgia is so bittersweet. I grew up in the same era and miss that life so damn much. Thank you for sharing such a gem of a video. It’s beautiful that you two are still friends.

You said it perfectly. At 54 I can't even look back at old pictures of the good times as a kid in the '70's. I want to refrain from saying "these times suck and back then was THE BEST", but I notice even a lot of the young people will agree about that. We have a lot of gadgets and "stuff" today, but that's all we have. Back then it was enjoying good times, friends and family. People were warmer and happier.

@@josephconsoli4128 y2k baby here, and i can attest to the young people envying previous generations thing. most of my generation are not having a good time, which is why we’re flocking in droves to nostalgic videos just to feel maybe an ounce of what you guys felt. times are so hard and i feel like we didn’t get to enjoy our youth

@@babyvanderwoodsen Yes. The worst part is you guys are so pressured at a young age, to figure out how to make a lot of money to survive in today's world. My generation was able to stay a kid all through the school years and beyond. Then you got an apprentice job and made enough to get you by. Also it was an "ignorance is bliss" world where you didn't worry about everything nearly as much. There's too much negative info being jammed into peoples heads. I work with young people and they sort of stay in their own cocoon with their heads in their smartphone.

I love seeing all the old cars you never see anymore in your videos and the fashions, too. The excitement in Eric's voice as he says they have an arcade and comic book shop down by the beach is something I'd share at that age. One thing I wanted to point out is that Eric's feet haven't changed at all.

Always enjoy seeing good memories and footage of my home from my era.We live it here but enjoy meeting people from all over vacationing here. I wish we could go back to the 80s-90s. Unfortunately people aren't just visiting Pensacola Navarre their staying and it's not the secret little Peninsula it once was and honestly uncomfortably overcrowded.

In your 30+ years of friendship, was there ever an extensive period of time where you never met up or spoke to each other?

No and yes. We’ve stayed in contact the entire time since we met. Not a year has gone by. As you get older, however, it’s easy to let months pass without talking. We live in different cities, and people get busy with work and life. But every time I come back to Huntsville I always see Eric. And no matter how much time has passed, it’s like no time at all. The greatest thing about this channel is that we talk constantly now. Cheers! -D

Ever been to the aviation museum? I went there in 96 as a kid, and I saw it recently. That place hasn't changed at all. I love when a place from childhood is the same as I left it. There's a place in Baton Rouge called Celebration Station that's like that, except for having newer arcade games. Same gaudy colored paint job and everything that was there since at least 1990.

I think it would be a blast to road trip with these two dudes! Listen to hair metal, talk movies and filmmaking and of course talk a lot of rubbish and nonsense. And the occasional sincere deep conversation, whilst filming awesome FL scenery and having a drink and meal at a cool place.

I'm so glad you guys are visiting Pensacola ❤ I went to a few family reunions there back in the early 90s. I haven't been back since I was a kid, we stayed at the Clarion Inn that was right on the beach not sure if its still there since the hurricanes. I also was so amazed with the ufo house. Im glad you guys thought was as strange as I did.

The Futuro House (ufo house) is a Pensacola landmark. One of the few Futuro homes left. Look them up!

This is pure nostalgia, I’m a little younger I was born in 1986 and also raised in the 90’s, I’m also from mobile, Alabama and between going to gulfshores, Alabama, orange beach, in Alabama and Pensacola beach, this was golden, I also got married in Pensacola.
