Wow, I didn't know that Porter Jr. was a Christian. I always admired his natural offensive talent. He's now become one of my favorite players. I'm gonna be rooting hard for him. Believers need to pray that he doesn't turn away from the faith into the world, living the nba life.

Key points Humbleness is key 🔑 Know your vices 📱 Staying rooted in God 🙏🏽 Relationship over Religion ( Major 🔑 ) Be yourself &Guard your heart ✨ Obedience is better than sacrifice ! Our perception of the faith is what shapes our walk and understanding of him and how he loves us. (“ Really love God and that will change what you wanna do”) I like that one.

Relationship through religion. There is no relationship if you don’t first beleive and have faith in God. Religion is the belief and the worship of God or a diety. So as a Christian that means you are in a religion and you have a relationship through the religion/ belief and faith in Christ.

@@James_follows_Christ if you beleive in Jesus then you are part of a religion. That religion( Christianity) involves you having a relationship with Jesus but it doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a religion.

In an age where most children want to rappers and professional basketball players are only exposed to what they see... the fame and glory. We need more Christians doing stuff like this 🙌🏽!! Thank you for stepping out of the NBA spotlight to give God the spotlight. I hope and pray God gives you strength to continue fighting the good fight.

Michael Porter Jr is a true Christian. A truth seeker. Someone who questions things and is not brainwashed by the media. I love that about him. Just a really good person. God will always bless you. Keep up with the faith. You’re one of my favorite basketball players in the NBA and one of my favorites as a human. I wish I can meet you one day!

Yo MPJ I never knew you were Christian bro, if I were to know this back in 2020 when the nuggets was playing in the bubble against the lakers in the WCF I would’ve been cheering for your team 😂💪🏻. Anyways my brother I pray you get back healthy in Jesus name and I also pray that you share your faith throughout the league as you are called to preach the gospel and share your testimony of what Jesus has done for you. My name is Abraham nice to meet you bro. Keep up your faith in Jesus who is the way the truth and the life. 💪🏻🙏🏻

I'm a Christian too, I've admired you Mike since you started playing on college 'cause you're a great hooper. Then when I found out that you're Christian, I thought you might be another comercial Christian that becomes christian only to get followers or something, but I then started watching your videos in KZfaq like 1 Day in the life of MPJ and your tweets about George Floyd, and that's when I realized you're authentic. And I thank God now for your life MPJ, pleased keep doing this kind of content, your one my heroes now man, inside and outside the court bro

About humility I think we must understand that it's not belittling yourself. It's more about to know your strengths and weaknesses and don't overvalue neither undervalue yourself. It's like if Steph says : I'm the best 3pt shooter... Is it pride or just a fact? Or Jeff Bezos saying he is rich not bragging about that. Jesus wasn't silent about who he was so...

I don't have a religion, I have my own relationship with God. I try to do good. Help people and think positive and don't push out hate. I'm not on social media. However, I think a lot of people don't have no faith at all which is why there's so much evil out there, but also remember there's a lot of good its just overshadowed

Good content. Hope it the 1st of many. I like to make this contribution. I'm sure based on points that was shared by you both, we can agree man is a spiritual being. Just as we can only effect the things of God by time we spend in His presence so too time spent in the presence of ungodliness affects our behaviour. Proverb says evil communication corrupts good morals & Psalms says blessed are they who dwell not in the counsel of the ungodly. Though a Christ-like life isn't by any means one of isloation still, we have to manage our environment as we can be influenced. We are on our way to safety, so until we arrive we must be careful. Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he falls. Keep doing a good work and don't come down. This will be in my prayers. Grace & peace!

Matthew 5:43-48 ESV “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? ...

Excellent questions, great answers--honestly. Would love to talk with you one day about Christ-centric worldview, and reasons for belief in the historicity of the gospel, etc. Although I think the tendency to take "last days" as almost too literal is kinda sensationalism. Because wars and rumors of wars were certainly also prevalent in medieval times, cultures treating evil practices as good by virtue of an appeal to popularity has been going on for several thousands of years, etc. Like according to Genesis, we're still even in the 7th day (that 7th "day" never ended), so I wouldn't read into the availability of worldwide depravity as an indication of recent times getting worse. People have always been out of line haha.

Enjoyed the conversation. I always cringe when believers bring up “new age” and get a little a judgy about it. Although it didn’t get that bad in this convo. But Jesus was “new age” for his time. He was teaching people how to gain direct access to God and cultivate a personal relationship with the Source of All Life without the interference and conditioning of a ruling religion. They tried to discredit and demonize him because his teachings threatened the social order. When people know how to have direct access to and intimately experience God, they can no longer be controlled and manipulated by the ruling class. I’ve found that “New Age” is a dog whistle for anything religious or spiritual that expands an individual’s consciousness and moves them beyond the status quo. Now, I’m not saying that some people don’t take it too far and get extreme, but taking it to extremes happens in organized religion too. The best thing to do is stay rooted in the truth of your spiritual identity, use your discernment to follow the path that God has for you, whatever that is, and you will be fine.

Ego is all within the mind that takes credit....it is the sense of "I" that is separate from all that is not I. Ego can be an acronym for "edging God out." Now mushrooms are one tool that can show you what it is like beneath ego. That's why they are called God-flesh. But, once you rely on them to get there, you are dividing again, needing an "other." So I like to tell young men/women that doing them is ok, but it is only a peek at the map. You must do the work to learn to get there without them.
