As a giant breed, they are prone to overheating which is never good! Follow this quick tip to ensure that you've always got water readily accessible for them on long walks or hikes outside.

Guss looks like such a well mannered chilled out dog, I've contacted some well established breeders here in the UK. Will hopefully have a dane ourselves sometime in the new year, will keep watching your channel 👍👍

Most parks I've been to have a hose bib by the drinking fountain. I just opened the hose bib up for my Daniff.

I found a cloth bowl that zips into a small pouch type of thing. It has a nice big opening for my Dane and Dane cross. It clips nicely onto their Service Dog vests or would do well on a belt loop. The only place I found the collapsible one to have an advantage is keeping it clean and fresh. My husband however prefers the collapsible one for his Bull Mastiff Boxer cross Service Dog so it really is a matter of preference. I just thought I'd share another option. I love your channel! It's given me some great insights to make training my Dane puppy as a Service Dog easier.

We have that same bowl, in blue, for our great dane! We have used it on numerous occasions to keep her hydrated and she also has her own giant bottle of water we keep in the car for her just in case. Was fun seeing you pull out that same bowl that we have haha. It's very nice to have though so I am not surprised that you saw the same item and saw it as useful for your pup :) Stay Daney! Greyt tipz Gus! I'm gonna havez my staff order one of them flat bowlz for me! 👌 My Humom hydratez me with a spray bottle also mistz me with it to keepz me cool. It gitz very hot here in the landz of sandz. 😅 Big tail wagz! ~ Xander Greyhound 🐾

At outdoor dog shows the owners and handlers just use spray bottles. Of course they do have to train them at a young age. Unfortunately that doesn’t work for me because I use the spray bottle of water to teach them to stay off the stove. So did you have to teach Gus to stay off the stove? If so, how?

Hi everyone! Those bowls are really good. We didn't have them years ago. We always kept a bowl for the Danes in the van, but another cheap trick is to upcycle a plastic football - cut in half and wash carefully. They are mostly soft enough to fold and you can slip then in your trouser pocket even. They don't sit on the floor though, so one of us would have to hold it up in our cupped hands so our Danes could drink at a comfortable height. Hope this tip helps. Love to gorgeous Gus! I just got my Dane puppy last month, and he’s looking kinda skinny. He’s 13 weeks now and I feed him almost five cups a day. Is he supposed to be so skinny or should I feed him more?

Hello! I got my dane in March and I too thought she was underweight because she was so damn skinny! We could see about 3-5 of her ribs but the person I got her from, who has 2 danes, assured me that they grow long and tall before they grow wide. The best advice I can give you is to track her weight and not her looks. At 12 weeks our dane was 28 lbs which was right on track for a female dane of her age. Hope that helps!

Something way cheaper and portable, grab a plastic bag, the ones u can get to pick their poop from the floor should work for example. Then you just unfold the bag, fill it up with water and there u go.
