Check out Steady at the Wheel podcast on all podcast platforms for audio version of SATW episodes.
Episode 20: In this episode of Steady at the Wheel, we are talking with two old school OTR truckers. With trucking in the 80s and cabover trucks as their starting point, they share trucking horror stories and adventures from years ago when trucking was a much different experience. The shared trucking tales of a trucker owner operator , trucking mentor, and trucking rookie are almost to good to be true.
If you are a trucker, interested in trucking history, or just like to sit down and listen to tales of the road, this video is sure to entertain.

It's nice to hear from guys from back in my day, I started driving in 1963, and still have my CDL and move specialized machinery all over the country. I'm originally from Texas which is where I started, My first truck was a D model Mack truck with a 5X4 transmission.

Russ is Billy Jack's younger brother. I think it was mentioned, but quickly. Who Russ is is a great example.

Also, Rooster's name is Russ. Bit confusing because there were two Russ's referenced in the podcast. The only time Billy Jack's brother Russ is mentioned is the story about drying off with the stained towel. All other references to Russ is Rooster.
