The greatest steakhouse for me will always be my 32oz Albertsons prime bone in rib-eye special from my house via cast iron pan w fresh thyme and crushed garlic clove w grass fed unsalted butter w a side of asparagus and Diet Coke all day baby! I even tip myself after dinner! 😉

I had not seen this video. I stayed the night at the Santa Fe Station. It was not far from where I broke down. Plus the reservation desk really did try to help me. Anyway... I went to the Charcoal Room... The hostess seated me at the bar. I needed to partake of adult type beverages... The bartender saw I was having a bad day. He hooked me up w/a Mai thi... I saw on the menu Steak Tar Tar. I've never had it before. Ohhhh.... It was delicious, the chef paired w/raw quail egg, gurkans, daps of whole grain mustard, radish slices, and small toasted bread. I ordered a rare porterhouse, your gonna laugh... I did not order the tomahawk sirloin.... It was grilled to perfection and was paired w/a great seasoned sauce... Ahhh gawd!!!!🤤... The staff were great and took care of my every need. After the day I was having... Oh... Their bread basket... Whoever their baker is??? Artist!!! Sourdough, soft pretzel, and a berry infused bread.... Not cheap.... I didn't order any sides.. The appetizer, steak, bread, was more then enough for me.... Great place...

I took my group to The Charcoal Room at Palace Station a few years ago. We had a very nice dinner - good steaks, a reasonably-priced wine list and a calm atmosphere. It was probably about 25-30% less than a comparable steak dinner would cost at a Strip hotel steak house or at Golden Steer. Nice review!

I went there for my birthday last week and ordered the porterhouse steak, it was juicy, tasty, delicious and cooked to perfection the way I wanted it! The Charcoal Room is definitely a place to go and enjoy good food 😋

😊😊😊excellent video. I found the Charcoal room at Palace station to be comparable to the Strip or Fancy downtown steak houses with a bit lower price. When I stay at the Station I usually get a dining credit which I can use at the Charcoal Room to make it even more affordable. I put it on the level of Herbs & Rye just down the steet on Sahara.

Angus Prime marbled steak is my favorite. Medium rare rare. I just recently got cast iron and I haven't found s good Angus Marbled Prime like I used to. 😁

It’s refreshing to hear a food critic say some negative things about a restaurant. Typically all you hear are positive things from food critic which gives you the feeling they got a free meal.

Those are reasonable prices. Last trip from Canada I ate at Joes steak and seafood Ceazars it was the best meal I've ever had. I'm heading back to vegas March 2022 and have another reservation. Highly recommended.

Steakhouse over buffet every time. And if it's a good steakhouse, you'll get your money's worth. Btw, I love the ribcap. So far, Oscars and Barry's, under my belt. Next up is Ramsey's ribcap.

I ate at palace station back early 1990s I think it was 1992 the buffet was super cheap. I miss frontier they had 14.99 all u could eat prime rib plus salad and bake potato that was hog heaven to me. I also remember westward ho they had a foot long hot dog and drink for 2 bucks u literally could eat breakfast lunch dinner there for under 10 bucks.

I never really liked Filets... its tender, but the flavor is usually just so so... I rather have something with more fat.

Well I agree if you want a good steak you need to go to a steakhouse and it's usually nice even though it's expensive because the quality of the food is good Santa Fe station also has a charcoal room

Great Vlog! Steakhouses IMHO are way overpriced. In Nashville where I live there is a steakhouse called " Bourbon" it is a Michael Mina restaurant on the 38th floor of the JW Marriott (views incredible). But the Ribeye like yours $87 ala carte, that is just crazy 😧

The best one is the seafood great flavor color and ingredients to make a platter,look it’s best. The color on the steaks and the inside to,the inside of the steak a lite brown and red , and the juice,comes out when you cut one of steaks.

It's been more than 10 years since I went to Golden Steer, and lo ger than that for "The Steakhouse" at Circus Circus. So I don't know how it is now.

Good call out on the sloppy shucked oysters, def should have sliced the abductor muscle when shucking. Lazy. They didn’t clean the lip gunk off either.

All of the good ones are but depending on the quality of the meat.I love Flemimg and the fine dining at the top of Morongo Casino yummy everything but pricy .Worth it once a while why not.

What late night place do you recommend for a steak deal? I can't find anywhere that is open past 11pm.

There's no steakhouse open that late, except maybe Herbs & Rye. But there are plenty of steak "Deals" that are open late. They aren't steakhouse quality. Actually pretty cheap quality steaks. But there are some good deals at Ellis Island, South Point Hotel. Prices are up, but there are deals... try Tony Romas at Fremont Hotel, El Cortez, California Hotel, Longhorn Casino (east side). But the prices keep changing and they're a lot higher now. So the deals really aren't deals anymore.

compared to Primarily Prime Rib their prices look horrible all around. Looking at their menu I could not ascertain the size of the steaks to compare with the pricing, this is troubling. However, if I was stuck there with other people I would go for the onion soup, the steakhouse chopped salad and the porterhouse. That porterhouse had better be 24 oz minimum for 52 bucks ..... subscribed

That bill made me choke! Wow! Sorry to see that. Really if you bought that food, all premium, and prepared it yourself you would be paying 25% of that or less. I would love to try an experience like this but just really would be asking myself if it is worth it.

if you include 25% in the tip you can do it for less than half :) but sometimes it just feels good to just go nuts and wild and just enjoy life with no remorse :). but I agree it feels bad to just eat up hard-earned cash it is other things in life I want more than a steak like a new MC or boat and if I take the steak too often I just can forget about the dreams :)

Yes the prices were crazy, especially for the sides. $9 for a baked potato that probably cost them 50 cents is absurd and obscene and the same for green beans amandine. The steaks looked outstanding but at what point do these absurd prices stop?

When people stop paying. Your only paying for the ambience and occassion. No trouble and less cost doing it yourself. Good size quality steak, sides and a bottle of passable wine can do for $115.00 Australian. But saying that if I visit Vegas I will be eating at a good steakhouse
