MAKE SAUCE AHEAD OF TIME IT TAKES ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO COOK THE SAUCE FIRST.
SAUCE:
EVO HEAT ADD
1- SMALL ONIONS
4-5 GARLIC MINCED
1 CAN OF TOMATO SAUCE (I USE SCALFANI TOMATO'S) IF YOU HAVE IF NOT SECOND BEST IS HUNTS, AND REDPACK. I ALSO ADD WATER TO SAUCE TO THIN IT DOWN LIKE LESS THAN 1/2 CAN.
S&P
FROZEN OR FRESH BASIL
1/4 CUP OPICI CHANTI WINE

HAND SCOOP OF SUGAR (1/2 TAB OF SUGAR)
(WHEN SAUCE COMES TO IT'S FIRST BOIL STICK YOUR WOODEN SPOON THE TIP IN TH E BAKING SODA AND IT REMOVES THE ACID FROM THE TOMATO'S).
STEAK (I USED RIB STEAKS) CUT A PIECE OF FAT OFF OF IT USE THAT TO COAT THE FRYING PAN)
6-8 CLOVES OF MINCED GARLIC AND EXTRA FOR COOKING
MARINATE THE STEAK WITH GARLIC AND S&P AND OREGANO AND ONLY IN HOT CAST IRON POT SEAR THE STEAKS WHILE IT'S COOKING ADD SOME MORE GARLIC.
(NOTE I DO THIS WHEN THE STEAKS ARE VERY REAR BECAUSE THEY WILL COOK FAST WHEN YOU ADD THE SAUCE).
WHEN STEAK IS COOKING ALMOST DONE ADD (OPICI) CHIANTI WINE, COVER AND ADD SAUCE.

Looks yummy!! 😋 I've been making my own spaghetti sauce for many years but I just learned something from you: baking soda to cut the acid...wow! I've always only added sugar, but from now on will also use baking soda. I'm not a huge fan of basil...I do use it in my sauce, but I put lots of oregano. ☺ Regarding garlic, my Maltese father-in-law used to grow garlic in his garden and gave us tons of it. To keep them from going bad I would peel lots of them, cut the cloves into small pieces and put them in a glass jar and add oil to cover them and keep in the fridge. Very handy to just spoon out some from there when needed. I still do that, to this day. BTW, I have the same canister set like where you took the sugar from. ☺ Love your recipes and videos!! Keep cooking and stay safe, from one New Yorker to another! ☺💖💖

Adding the baking soda do it when it comes to it's first boil I stick the tip of the wooden spoon in the soda sometimes I do it 2 x's When I use my own canned tomato's I have to use more baking soda. Oregano really kills the flavor or sauce.

Thk you for you imput. my grandmother taught us The Trick of Baking soda in sauce But just a little Bit on The Tip of the spoon, you said you used "Oragno" but that is not what we use in the sauce. It seems to make it bitter. I use oregano when I make pizza only. I also can, and my canning books tell us NEVER EVER put garlic and oil in jar and try and save it. It creates botulism

@@materialgirl338 I hear you there! atm there are 3 ppl here including me, i rarely get a break from cooking, one refuses to cook, other will at times but complains most of the time but...ahh issues issues...so I end up cooking or buy sandwhiches, my oven went, looking for a new heating element. Think we both need a vacation ..with ROOM service! Ahh but I am glad your here 😊 I am learning alot from you! I needed room in my now small fridge, had made homemade cheese but stirred it to early so I ended up with a small curd sour cream cheese . well like I said I needed room, so I got to thinking about the way you do things,I decided to try and dehydrate it on a fruit rollup tray on a dehydrator I found at the OppShopp for 3 bucks, a few weeks ago before this lock down hit. a Nesco American Harvest food dehydrator & Jerky Maker,(500 watt) (minus the jerky gun,) anyways it worked! spread it on the dish,put it on lowest setting for about a couple of hours , and used my magic bullet to powderize, so nowI have cheese powder for cooking, snacks or? Possible to use with my dehydrated onions n chives in a dish!

Thank you Erica I was so nervous too, last night my son and grandchildren live near ATL. My Tornado app went off 16 times last night. I am praying for the those poor souls that did lose their life's and homes. Please stay safe you and your family, thank you for your kind words all time.

I like my steak floured before cooking. You don’t need to sear the meat! I don’t use crushed tomatoes, I like plum tomatoes- you should get a new grease screen before it flies into your eye.
