I haven't been to a doctor in ten years, but started my carnivore journey 13 months ago with zero reference point of lab work. So far I have fixed my blood pressure, lost about 80 lbs., no longer have sleep apnea, I have crazy energy, no more gas or bloat, had cysts vanish, no more prediabetic symptoms, no MS issues (diagnosed with MS 16 years ago), and zero cravings for alcohol and junkfood. I couldn't do 2 flights of stairs a year ago without feeling like I was going to die, and now I can run up 8 of them without breaking a sweat or losing my breath. People 1000 years ago didn't go see a doctor, they just changed what they shoved in their face until it fixed how they feel.

Have you read professor Hilton Hotema’s body of work regarding “nutrition” at a cellular level? I have also heard from many mentors that a change in mind and consumption can often have a positive effect in the beginning no matter what significantly positive change one makes to their existence. There is much power in the intent and vision of one’s mind too! I stopped eating meat years ago and have only had positive effects from such ways. I am stronger than ever before, 43, ex military who was not one to clown around.

@@sidsnyder8043 - I say that because one “vegetarian” etc is not like another. One may be aware of the poisons used to grow their “food”, while the other may not be aware of that at all. One may choose to ingest only raw organic while the other chooses to change the value of its life sustenance by cooking it. Some may boil, some may fry. Some may use seed oils, some may use others. Some may use Teflon coated cookware, while some may use copper. Some may wear sunglasses, some may realize the harm that causes them at a cellular level and instead value such rays of life sustenance into their being. There are many factors but the one factor that always comes back to me regardless, is that humans are retarded! The End 😂😂😂

So true. I've had health insurance for years, then I wanted a thermogram, not a mammogram, and they wouldn't cover it. Then I wanted to see a chiropractor, not a physio, and they wouldn't cover it. Then I wanted a hormone panel and they wouldn't cover it. The beef, butter and egg intermittent fasting is great when you are doing the parasite cleanse. Also the Dr. Boz 3 day sardines fast is AMAZING at getting your body into ketosis! You really have to be diligent about no sugars and no carbohydrates when parasite cleansing. And those carb can hide in your vitamins, in your seasonings, in your sweeteners. I don't know much about the labs, but I do know that you have to balance risk with reward when you're choosing a diet or treatment. I'm on mounjaro and beyond my A1C being better, I've lost 68lbs. People haven't gotten cancer from these meds, but rats did in studies. I looked and the risk of cancer is 8x higher in obese people, the more obese the more risk. I've cut my risk of heart disease and strokes later significantly too, so it far outweighs the risks of the medication. I'd think the same for you.

He wanted to put me on a statin, but I asked for a test to see what sizes my LDL are. To put it kindly, he didn't understand the relevance. Since my EKG was normal, I'm not considered a cardiac risk so no further testing is 'recommended' and I'm just supposed to take the statin. Sorry to be a party pooper but if you have been eating as a carnivore for a few years that cannot undo whatever damage was done by however you ate for the sixty plus years prior to that. (Same for me.) Any wounds the inside of our arteries have suffered from eating grains, sugar, alcohol, fructose, etc. and the plaque our bodies have piled on top trying to patch those wounds could easily still kill us before we wake up tomorrow. Most USA Dr.s are so conditioned to look at cholesterol in a very uninformed manner. They have been taught to prescribe statins when ever cholesterol is over 200. The problem with statins is that they deplete the brain of its vital necessary fat, which is why so many who are on statins have neurological disorders now.

Bella, thank you for sharing. I had similar results in lab values. My PCP was beside herself… even speaking as a clinician to a clinician, she thought for sure there was some other explanation other than meat is good for you. As a new carnivore, (4 weeks) I am learning more and more about the benefits. I love these videos. I am not trying to lose weight, I want to eliminate my inflammation, aches and pains. I am 65 years old and pretty healthy. I work out every other day, ate pretty well before starting this diet. I have a ton more energy now and sleep less. I started at 123 lbs and have weighed as little as 116.6# but average around 118 lbs. now. I had a complete hysterectomy at 25 years old and have been on HRT ever since. My thyroid is low and my adrenals have been shot for several years. Looking forward to seeing how my hormones may improve even though I have no ovaries.

It's crazy to me that dr's ignore abnormal labwork unless it indicates you're going to die- right now. I've had them ignore mine when I went because I felt bad, and never tell me. Why even do it then? I always go over the results on my own now and if something is high I google it then ask questions.

I don't listen to the doctors because the whole cholesterol thing is wrong. I found out during my research that the brain is made up of 75% myelin and myelin is made up of 100% cholesterol. I just started carnivore two days ago, and I can already feel some changes. My mind seems quieter, and more ready to get things done. I’ve had pain in my left hip and the back of my right knee for a long time and for no real reason. Seems it might have been inflammation. It’s dissipating, without doing any of the physio I was doing before. I did a cost assessment on this eating plan vs my other lifestyle, and it’s coming out as more affordable! So I went to Costco and bought a bunch of ribeyes and a whole beef tenderloin. Woohoo! Hopefully, I can stick with it. I’m doing a four-day train trip across a large part of Canada in the fall, and will stock up on many meaty things. Cheers!

I'm an RN. As you get older your brain needs even more cholesterol. A low-cholesterol diet is one of the causes of dementia. Secondly, LDL. My large particle LDL, the LDL usually checked, was 280, I was on the carnivore diet. My doctor wanted to put me on a statin. I argued and asked him to check my small particle LDL, He refused so I refused the statin. On my next visit, he again insisted I start a statin and again I asked for a small particle LDL lab, and he agreed. Low and behold, that number was LOW! He hasn't asked me to go on a statin ever since. The large particle LDL is not dangerous, it is soft. The small particle LDL is rock hard and is dangerous and can lead to a heart attack.

@@JanSmoot-yj3tzyes I learned about this from DrBerg. It’s called SDLDL or, small dense LDL. And of course you have to beg and plead with the avg doctor to get that number. There is such low integrity in the medical system. And statin drugs will cause many problems including dementia but most doctors will tell you side effects are rare. No, bad effects from statins are ALWAYS there-because it stops the body from repairing itself.

This sounds extremely bizzare, here in EU we are getting all of cholesterol types in one basic analisys. You don`t have to specify what kind needs to be checked. NEVER did we have LDL only separately, it was a time when ALL cholesterol was counted, but it was just recommendation back then. And, according to you, Bella should have problems already, since her LDL has risen. How are your triglycerides anyway ?

Start with veg ( if you are ok with them, 1kg frozen - cooked ) and lots of high meat/fat sausages. Low sugar pasta sauces are great for flavouring veg or the odd meat sauce powder will bind and flavour the veg water, and yes. They come with a few carbs but that is very moderate... change slowly away from carbs to avoid keto flu. If you make it to the loo, you can get a bag of frozen veg in the pot on the hob.... and add sausages to them at the end. Microwave can get your food gone as well.... easy, fast, no fancy skills needed. All the best on your journey! You can do it!

A year ago I was where you are. I had gained so much weight I just laid in the bed all day and read. Even taking a shower was nearing impossible as I could barely stand long enough to get through it. I live alone so I still had to feed myself so I started with eggs and ground beef patties. I would just throw the beef in the oven so I didn't have to try to stay mobile while it cooked. Then about 3 minutes before it was done I'd quickly scramble some eggs and then take it all back to bed with me. As I started losing weight showers started getting easier and I started trying to walk inside my house a little more. Eventually I could stay mobile long enough to cook a little more labor intensive meals and walk to my mailbox which is about 300ft from my house. Stuck with it and my activity grew and grew until I could cut my own grass. 140lbs down now and I feel like I can finally live my life again. Just start. Start today. You CAN do this!

We would die without cholesterol, Cholesterol is the most common steroid in the body, you can't make hormones without it, you can't make healthy cells without it. Cholesterol has gotten a bad rap , it doesn't cause heart disease, inflamation does, the Cholesterol that often lines the blood vessels is trying to calm the inflammation, without that your blood vessels would tear open. Fatty acid manipulation to cure the body is a good thing, eat fats it heals the myelin around your nerves. Low fat is death.

When I went vegan I got off my medication, blood pressure normalized, everything was great. My friend pointed out, it’s not the vegan food, it’s just that you stopped eating all that junky American food. I was mad at him because I wanted veganism to be the answer. But he had a point. Now I’m going to ask: is it the same thing going on here? If you stop eating the junky American diet and start eating carnivore, and you start doing better, how do you know that it’s because of the meat and not just because you gave up Buffalo Wild Wings, Krispy Cremes, and cheeseburgers? People jump from extreme SAD to extreme vegan or carnivore diets, without stopping in the middle where IMHO is best: eat clean food, NO junk, NO processed food, NO oil, a variety of WHOLE single-ingredient foods. You do that you don’t need to join any of these extreme camps. Okay, have at me. :)
