Sorry I missed you guys this past Sunday! To make up, I decided to go out and film a different style video than usual. I've "stealth" camped in the past, but this was my first time doing it in a place where I really had to be sneaky; luckily I had a tiny, unsuspecting car to do it in.
Sit back, grab a beer, grab a coffee & enjoy!

Definitely should look into a small USB powered fan to help you keep cool. They make smaller ones and you'd be able to use it in the camper too

He does realize that cameras are running throughout that parking lot! He’s so funny looking around like he’s being followed 😂 People sleep at the airport all the time.

I was thinking the same. Folks jet lagged, catching up on some sleep in their vehicle before they motor out. Seems like a non event.

That is a brilliant idea. It would be great if an episode was a fundraiser for the local food bank/shelter in honour of Steve's wife.

Wow I'm surprised that the parking lot would be quiet! I'm so glad I didn't buy a Honda Fit instead I got the Prius V...so much easier to sleep in there comfortably as I just left the engine run all night long to keep me cool during a summer heatwave in L.A.... BTW they have magnetic shades to put up for boondocking puroses instead of using the trash bags.

The trash bags are a great idea! Maybe an electric generator &/or a portable fan would have helped? Very industrious to cook. I'd have packed a sandwich. I could see doing this for a VERY early flight. Just get up and get on the plane. P.S. Your cat is adorable!

The 2nd Gen fit may be a “tiny car” but let’s be honest. That thing has a LOT more cargo space than most cars that are much larger. Able to put the back seats down, or even recline them. I had the exact same car and a trick to sleeping in one is removing the front seats headrests and reclining it all the way back to rest on the back seats, then recline the back seats and you have yourself a comfy place to sleep with leg rests. Also under the left rear seat is a hidden storage compartment. Loved that car.

Thanks Johnathan. As rent prices and everything else continues it's skyward trajectory, it might be interesting to know how to stealth camp in the car. It would be cool if you could show us as many different places that are on the safer side and where you can get away with staying in the car without being bothered by the police, other people, rabid raccoons, etc.

Your video made me feel like I was sleeping in a car at the airport, I don't think I cared for it too much 😁 but I guess if it was something I had to do, then I would have to do it. I think the thing that would worry me most is someone coming and knocking on the window in the middle of the night, it would scare me. They probably have cameras in those parking lots.

Easy cheaper way to cover those windows...go to Walmart, buy the black poster board (I think it's like 97 cents a piece), cut em out in the shape of each window and pop em right in. They stay in place perfect and you can't see em from the outside at night (provided you have some form of tint)

I have window shields on my windows to leave cracked open without being obvious and a way to secure my rear window a few inches open while still locked. My vehicle has an inverter so before bed, flip a switch and air up the mattress which is quite comfortable. Usually I do this on winter road trips to Florida but thinking about getting a slide in camper for our pickup. Less stealth but more enjoyable especially in a campground since I'll have a dog traveling with.
