You don't get it do you? It may be the size of a bird in radar and flies fast but the radar computers will delete any non essential things in the sky like birds whether be it slow or fast. Or other wise they would see everything in the radar including birds and will use weapons a against it. Or the enemy could release tons of tin foil and because of that it will crowd the radar with so much things!

Fun fact: the coating that they put on the stealth planes was discovered on accident. It was made by some guy who liked to fly smaller airplanes around. He had coated his plane in a new substance that he felt would make the ride smoother or something like that, then took it out for a spin. What he didn't realize is that he flew over where they were trying to figure out stealth. Radar didn't detect him until he was just about overhead. They scrambled their fighters, escorted him down, then grilled him on how he did it. He told all, and now we have our stealth bombers/fighters.

Surprised they don't use lenticular lens used on invisibility shields So when they fly the aircraft they can see it on the radar but fighter jets can't see the plane making it nearly useless to even use RADAR if u can't see the plane itself so what's the point of a radar revealing ur position if u can't see what ur fighting I know some aircraft have lenticular lens And they can't be seen on radar nor could fighter jets even dare fight them because how can I fight something u can barely see or lock on to with any missiles It probably be the best stealth bomber that could be hidden from any altitude and not be seen from human eye making it useless to ever dare try to fight a man u can't see

Incorrect. RAM (radar absorbent material) was already discovered during WWII by the Germans. They used ferrite suspended in rubber to coat the snorkel and mast of their most advanced submarine, the Type XXI-class, to prevent it from being detected by radar-equipped aircraft hunting for submarines. Ferrite beads suspended in some type of polymer was also used in the F-117, so the Germans were (once again) 35-40 years ahead of them.

The problem with plasma is that it also makes it impossible for the aircraft to transmit and receive its own radio waves making it essentially blind. Also, the plasma may disrupt data links making it impossible for the aircraft to share information with other aircraft or to communicate with satélites. Modern stealthy aircraft passive radio sensors in-beaded into the skin which can detect other aircraft, but a plasma shield make those sensors ineffective. Plasma may be the ultimate invisibility cloak, but it hinders the sensors and data links making the aircraft a poor fighter. Maybe plasma would be good for reconnaissance aircraft like the U2 or new SR-72 which is under development.

Yeah, It happened to the space shuttle and the soyuz during the re entry in atmosphere. A quick solution of your problem is to not cover the entire surface of the airplane with plasma, and leave some holes so that antennas are able to work. Anyway, the noozle, the cockpit and the arms counters can t be cover by plasma for obvious reasons. This could be the weakness of this future stealth technology, but a total plasma cover, and then a blind aircraft Is not a good tactical choise.

+Tojetaj Nikolic LOL. That is such a self defeating argument. In all of the history of stealth only one stealth plane has ever been shot down. So if stealth is a lie and you can see it and shoot it down easy then the rest of the world sucks terribly at shooting down the incredibly slow planes like the F-117 and B-2 or stealth does work and the rest of the world can not see our planes on radar. Either way the US has nothing to worry about.

@Chris Jovy Listen bud, I was in command platoon of 4th divizion (batalion) of 12 artilery rocket brigade of Novi Sad cor, and I worked in CVOJ (command center) and believe it or not we shot down 7 planes. We didnt count tomahawks and so on... Our code name was "florida" 😂 and I know what is truth. The truth is that 7 planes were shot down in first few days and later till the end of war only 2 times nato planes droped down under 8000m. Our goal was not to shot down planes but to protect bridge near town Beska over danube river and we did that task... In total nato lost more than 60 planes, and if you search how many nato planes broke down 😂 in that 78 days you will see the truth. Also 3 f117 were hit only one drop down in serbia, and when few years ago our officers started to speak about b2 spirit of misury that was shot down and droped in croatia same year one of b2 planes had malfunction and was lost in US crashing 😂 So I know a lot not from stories but from first hand experience, and biggest proof that tracking of so called stealth planes was nothing special is that after the war when Milosevic was overtrown all our officers got questionere from nato that they needed to answer. 2 main questions were how far and high they were spoting stealth planes. That is fact than any serbian AA unit officer can confirm. The reason why we didnt shot every time when we "locked" was because if radar targeting radar not tracking workes longer than 50sec than antiradar missile is coming, and we were waiting and not using all we could. And btw I was just regular soldier but I will quote my comanding officer after the war when he said "they dissapointed us, we thought they were much better..."

I've read an interview given by a retired pilot of a KC-135 Stratotanker where he talks about being on a mission doing circles over Iraq during the 2nd war there. He discussed how the Air Force sent an invasion fleet but they were awaiting the order to attack and begin the invasion. He described how the fleet was organized by squadrons or layer formations and stated all planes were ordered to have all lights off inside and out. As he goes on, he stated when the order was given to attack that unknown type aircraft underneath him all of a sudden began glowing, their entire bodies, and they raced down ahead of the fleet and took out the radars. He stated he had never seen an aircraft. I wonder if those aircraft had the plasma shield or cloak described in this video

What's to stop new detection methods from differentiating spaces that are ionized and not? That would give you a blind detection field of obvious intrusion of an enemy, like playing battleship. Like, as soon as algorithms pick up on a space in the sky that has be ionized and displaced, I could deduce that a stealth plane is in the area and would proceed to send scouts as well as sweep the area with multiple sensors vs using only radar(X-Rays, gamma, infrared, etc.)

So why not invest in radar systems that use more than 1 tower/transmitter. Then if the radio waves from one tower is disrupted on it's journey or does not reach the receiver, that data can be used to locate the aircraft. And if one or more transmitters fall, they can still work as conventional radars?

It already exists, in fact it already existed 30+ years ago. Back then the Czechs had a stealth-defeating radar, I thing it was called Tamara. Nowadays there are much more advanced variants like it which uses ambient radio transmissions from tv, mobile phone and radio towers, making it virtually unstoppable (good luck bombing every single cell tower in a developed country).

Yesterday I was once again annoyed by multiple planes who fly low over my property. This is a new development since I’ve lived here 30yrs. I was about to flip one of them off (again) when the plane disappeared. Blue sky, zero clouds, still low flying cuz it’s engine sound hadn’t changed. It then reappeared for a few seconds & disappeared again. All the while clearly there cuz it’s annoying engine still sputtered away, same volume. The world is so weird now. 🤷‍♀️

It wasn't the plasma coat. Not sure if it was Ted Talks or what it was but I thought it was these guys from India that created a cloaking device using high-speed cameras that would bounce the light off take a picture of it and send it back creating a copy, but within like a billionth of a second continuously so you temporarily cloak. I don't know I may be incorrect but me information on that.

Just two of the many immediate problems with a plasma stealth shield: 1. it costs a huge amount of energy to convert a gas into plasma by ionisation 2. plasma gets insanely hot because it needs to keep being ionized Conclusion: Not practically applicable to generate stealth at all
