A quick test of US Military camos in the southernish Rocky Mountains. Let us know what you think and want to see next!

This is the first video in a long-running series that we are planning for testing camo patterns and gear.

I truly believe that as long as you get within the ballpark of your environment, the pattern on the fabric really doesn't matter. It's more important to stay still and not smell. Also where is the tiger stripe?

Distance does a lot of any pattern. Movement and smell are a big thing too, maybe we'll do some more dedicated movement testing in the future.

The ACP would of worked really well next to the wood pile and a 300 it doesn't give you the black blob at distance. Thanks for sharing

The colors around you also match the OCP better, the woodland is too dark for the colors around you. Maybe if you were in spring and had a lot of darker green around you it would be better. I'm curious how the AOR will do.

AOR2 is so good, buy it up cheap while you can especially when they first retire it

I would say the OCP works best in that environment. I have Multicam and the M81 here in SE NC.

Uh, bit of a fact check but AOR2 is NOT being phased out for multicam. They are still trying to change it out to a more blue uniform like what the coast guard has but for now sea/shore activities and seabees and the like will continue to use AOR2/NWU type 3 while in port.

I'll be looking into that then! It was my understanding that a lot less of it is about to be seen at least within the US Navy SOF elements.

@@VentureSurplus No, that seems about right. Mostly it's EOD, swcc and seal I believe who are using the multicam more than the NWU type 2 or type 3 but for the general purpose Navy yeah it's type 3 all the way
