I found they're not that bad at all to kill. My initially play through I was thinking they're near impossible and just moved past them. However, on my high chaos (kill everything that moves, on the highest custom difficulty), I found you can damage them with regular weapons and then finish them off. The spring razor (as shown in this video) does a good job of that. The crazy realization for me, from a lore perspective, was that the envisioned rock monsters count as kills in the game, because they were once people, the cult members who fully transformed. They hinted at this during the game but I missed it the first time through.

I think they expected people to avoid them, for the most part. Hence the lack of kill animations.

Yeah pretty sure you cant even attack them if you want ghost, as its not possible to 1 hit kill them stealthily

There's only 13 in the game and since you can't one shot stealth them (stealth is still possible though) I guess it wasn't expected

I thought the same thing...it really kills the atmosphere.

@Veritas you can actually kill them stealthily, just not nonlethally. Shoot them in the head from above, then you can get the drop assassinate command which triggers the execution animation. As long as you don't just walk up to the Envisioned and kill it, it won't count as an enemy alerted, but it still counts as a kill.

The games npc follow certain paths, he predicts the paths and then does it over and over again until it's perfect from what I've heard. Still so badass. I'd love to be able to do it

@@sn97sn97 It'd be interesting if after the first kill that Billie figures a faster way of killing them and lets you execute them without needing to down them first.

That was my biggest gripe with DOTO, they need at least 3 animations or can be killed in some way without animations

@@coleeckerman1390 it is a cheap game in all aspects, old locations, lack of ideas in the second part, and even 1 animation for killing monsters. They just wanted to finish it and forget.

It actually got worse. With the Outsider gone Emily eventually disbanded and hunted down the Overseers. With them gone the void actually started spilling into the world, creating anomalies all over the world
