Steam at Wolsztyn, March 13-15 2007

Two steam train pairs on Tuesday, three on Wednesday + a little diesel and my slow night train through Poland this morning at Katowice.

Świst ,gwizd wielki obłok dymu unoszący sie nad pociągiem i jakaś wielka nostalga mnie ogarnęła.Fajnie ze można rownież takie nowelki o pociągach obejrzeć

@mackat4ck Hi, If they are running at Wolsztyn, a few passenger trains per day to Poznan are still pulled by steam. Of course it's actually a museum operation, without special funding steam would have gone years ago, but the steam trains are of course regular commuter traffic. Cheers, Roni

Maybe steam locomotives are old but "Piekna Helena" (Pm36-2) still can drive 120 kph and Pm36-1 ancestor of "Piekna Helena" was 2,7 ton heavier but faster (140 kph) becouse of aerodynamic "shield" on its front (Sorry for my english :P)

no thi is only one train which driving from Poznan to Wolsztyn just for fun only. When in Poland we have a open day of train somthen more than one driving

Too bad the videographer didn't stand AWAY from the camera so his 35 mm lens clicks weren't picked up by the audio...
