In this video I talk about the new Update for the Handheld Companion which makes the Steam Deck Windows experience so much better. Now, Windows on the steam deck has steam os features such as FPS limiter, fan control, GPU clock and so much more. This Update of the Handheld companion makes me so sure to keep my steam deck on windows.

Can I do mouse region on right trackpad and left trackpad for scroll wheel & click for middle click just like how I can set it in SteamOS?

I've watched all of your windows videos and I haven't found a reason to change over. You need a short and sweet video to tell me why it's better along with FPS improvements compared to steam os

No fps improvements it goes back and forth between the two systems. I like it mostly because gamepass and anti cheat support

Nice video. Do you a video teaching how to install this system. I feel good with steam os but the problem many games need to be emulated on linux.

well, what i've had seen, win 11 is just fine. tablet mode..? like I can use the touchkeyboard on the 11 amazingly well. tablet mode... huh never heard of it lol but win 11 or 10 it's matter of choice basically I've been using 11 for a long time, no problems here. just like every win... debloat it hahahaha but that's it

Thank you, I just ordered a steam deck and im on the fence about installing widows when it arrives, doing some preliminary research first, but there's way to many fanboy biased videos squealing if its not linux its not worth it, I love both linux and windows, and steamOs is designed for the steam deck so should be better, but with all the updates etc, it seems to me to be worth installing windows, well it will be a fun experiment non the less, and if it doesn't pan out it seems easy enough to put steamOs back. Keep up the good work sir.

MATE ALL THIS STUFF IS IN STEAM DECK TOOLS. U COULD ALSO CHANGE THE CONTROLLER FROM XBOX TO PS4 WHILE IN GAME. All you gotta do is press and hold the options bottom at the bottom right of the steam deck. and you could configure all those stuff. Bruv steam deck tools is 100% better. what Hand-held companion have is UI. UI doesn't get you anywhere if the software is buggy. Steam deck tool is the G.O.A.T

@@kevinbuchanan67 steam deck tools is a program that lets you use some of the steam decks features in windows seamlessly, just like HC. He's arguing SDT does the same thing better for windows

It's called desktop input now it's in the side menu.

I've never used Handheld Companion, but ReviOS with Steam Deck Tools, and a few tweaks to your settings, and yes, Windows on Deck is amazing. I still prefer to use SteamOS as my main, because it just feels right, but the stuff that requires Windows, you can have a great experience with it.

Man, I gotta tell you windows 10 downgrade is better than 11, less updates, more stable, runs few fps better and you can run games like 2023, valor ant, etc if no problem. Battlefield 2042 is running 45 fps stable when you change screen frequency to 45 fps and use Auto TDP of HC set to 45!

All this thing does is crash crash crash and then crash some more. So far steam deck tools have been super stable. Might try handheld companion again in the future.
