Steam locomotive, yes, our local zoo used to have one. They've since unfortunately updated it to an electric locomotive. There was also one going around a small model town, but I'm not sure that counts. It was a legitimate steam-powered locomotive, but at about 1/2 scale. Never seen a big boy, though.

I rode a steam train to the Grand Canyon once. Its was very rickety and kinda slow. But i guess in the early 1900s it was the only way to get across New Mexico and Arizona.

I once saw the flying Scotsman in Berkhampstead though it was only for a few seconds it is a pleasant experience

I saw Big Boy 4014 when he was in Omaha NE and got a picture of me standing by the driving wheels
