3801 doesn’t look all that bad in it’s American form in this video. The only question I have about it is if that shield like thing at the front of it is supposed to be the Union Pacific symbol, which I guess would imply that it would be on tour at that part of the country. I do have to say challenger UP 3985 looks really weird in this video

@@lucasquintanilla1673 i see where you are coming from here, but from my point of view, 3801 still looked Australian. That crest is something that makes locos look very American, so I figured, sod it, let's add that. So here we are.

@@HyperCat72 the flying Scotsman photo from its 1969 to early 1970s tour isn’t the worst thing in terms of appearance although if they could have managed to put the headlight at the center of the Smokebox, I think it would look better. That being said, I guess maybe they couldn’t have since isn’t that thing at the center of the smoke box on British locomotives supposed to help with opening the boiler to clean it out? In the videos I have seen thus far in this series I think the one that looks best is Tornado on a American tour because it honestly doesn’t look that ridiculous. Also, I would love to see tornado making such a tour and I can bet that the locomotives they would want it to be near in America would be some of the Reading T1’s and some of the Berkshire’s that are in operation. I could see 611 meeting it and the thing I have wondered for a while is if theoretically it could be used at Strasbourg since it’s definitely light enough for the rails there. British locomotives are lighter than most of their US counterparts after all. I don’t think it could go to the union pacific areas since there is actually a policy against coal burning locomotives over there due to the fact that it’s a wild fire hazard. It’s one of the reasons 4014 and 844 are oil burners. If such a thing theoretically happened in the future, the locomotive I would really want tornado to meet would be the Pennsylvania T1 5550 that is being built as we speak and is slated to be completed around 2030. Two new build steam locomotives both finished in the 21st century meeting each other like that would definitely be something for the ages wouldn’t it? I doubt any of those things would happen, but it’s certainly nice to dream.

Is that so? Well, I’m actually interested into seeing what the big boy would look like if it was British-ified, as well as UP 5511. If I would have to give a rating of these edits, I’d say 10/10 because of how realistic these edits can get, compared to other ones I’ve seen…
