To kick us off, we see 35018 'British India Line' Passing with the return leg of the cumbrian fells steam express, and what an amazing sound that was producing then! It also had no diesel on the back which could give it a helping hand which was amazing.
Then, we see it again. This time, we see it on the Cumbrian Mountain Express at Blackburn. It was slightly annoying how it was over-pressure and the rain wasn't particularly doing me any favours. I will NOT be going to Blackburn again except for 34067 'Tangmere' To make my compilation, at the bottom of this description when it is published.
Yes, I know this next one is NOT on the West Coast Mainline but I thought I would add it in anyway! We see 7029 on the Christmas train, which departs Birmingham Moor Street every day 3 or 4 times this year, well, for a short time of the year anyway. It was hauled by a class 20 out and I added the steam video to this of it's return. Sorry about the video length. THE DATE WAS NOT 5.8.23 BUT IT WAS 9.12.24 (FORGOT TO CHECK)
We then see 45699 'Galatea' but it is re-numbered as 45627 'Serria Leone', one of her scrapped sister engines. It was 10AM on a Sunday but it was definitely worth going to see. The chuffing of the locomotive was amazing and so was the speed, as this station was very close to it's origin station, Preston. However, 47802 on the rear may have been giving it a push... We will never know!
Next, we see 45212 on a literal light locomotive movement from Orton Mere (Severn Valley Railway) To Carnforth, where it will go back home to Keighley and Worth Valley for a while since this is where it is part-based.
We then see 34067 for the FIRST time this year in the next 2 videos, which is quit surprising to be honest. However, there is a leaky cylinder cock, suggesting a failure. It was removed from the train at Blackburn and the diesel took the journey back on to Preston then London. You can hear the diesel helping it along.
Then we see 46115 on a beautiful day with the weather going our way. This photograph would be my shot of the year, even though the train wasn't giving any effort. This is all over my branding on KZfaq.
We then see her again in the exact same location, but earlier in the year, when it was really hammering the power on through Bamber Bridge. It is flat and there is a speed limit change afterwards so this is quite unusual.
To wrap things up with the final 2 clips we see the Settle and Carlisle Fellsman hauled by none other than 45231 'The Sherwood Forester' We see it first at Ramsgreave and then at Leyland, even though it is over-pressure.
