you definitely need the new larger stampers. they even make them clear now so you can see where you are putting the design. some of the new plates have larger designs for covering longer nails. you could also leave the design on the stamper and paint the colors right on it. when it dries you top coat it, let it dry , add a quick top coat onto the nail then set the design onto your nail. clean up the edges and your done. i have seen awesome stamping pros do amazing designs that way.

So so pretty!!! Did you know you can make decals with your stamper? All you have to do is stamp the entire image on a silicone mat, you can "color" in the stamp, put clear top coat on it, peel it up and apply to your nail.

For stamping, you actually can use tape(like scotch tape), to clean around the nails and the stamper itself. I was surprised when i found it out, but it works great. After stamping, you just take some tape and pick up the polish around the nail.

I love how knowledgeable you are, yet you still listen to tips from everyone else :) I've got one for you myself: When stamping, you don't have to cover the entire design area with polish. In fact, just a simple swipe over one edge, and a scrape in the right direction with the scaper will allow you to put polish on the whole design without so much of the excess waste. :) Also, that round thing is called a stamper, and I've never had an issue with acetone on my stamping tools, but I suppose it depends on the brand and things. Lovely video, looking forward to watching you try out a latex barrier - it's truly a lifesaver.

If you want to prolong the life of your stamping plates, try using a plastic card like an old store card for scraping your polish over the plate, it won't scrape your plates.

Here's a tip that I've seen other nail artists use. Color in the design whilel it is still on the soft squishy stamper. That way you won't loose the fine detail of the black lines. You can very quickly color block each section going over the black lines. When you stamp it on your nail, it will flip the blotchy color blocks down with the pretty intricate stamp detail on top. Looks like it took forever & is so quick. You probably have seen this done already since this video was from February but sharing just incase you (or a viewer reading this might have missed it). Love your videos! :-)

Maybe after transferring the design onto the stamper you can stamp it into some sort of nail mat. Then, quickly brush on a topcoat direct onto the design. Once that dries you can put a top coat onto your nail too, carefully peel off the design, place on your nail, and cut off the excess. Add any additional details and Layer on another topcoat to finish.

Hey Suzie! Just a wee tip from a fellow nail art enthusiast! did you know that when you're putting the stamp onto your stamper, you can actually paint in the color before transferring it to the nail? just clear coat it when you're done and wait for it to dry and then you can peel it right off and place it on the nail. it's a little easier to do it that way because then you don't have to be so precise with your doodling! hope this helps!:)

And if you don't want too much paint to go to waste, you could just paint like half or 2/3 of the pattern, and spread it with the scraping. It's less messier too.

Susie when you stamp you can color it in ON THE STAMPER so there is less risk of coloring out of the linens and after you color it in add a top coat. Let dry. Peel the decal off the stamper. Add a top coat on the nail add the decal to the nail and trim to shape of nail and use a clean up brush in acetone to melt the edges so it is on the nail and add a top coat. Look on simply nailogical in part 1, 5 easy short nail designs.

Hey Suzie! I realize this video is over a year old but watching it I noticed a few things and I thought I might let you and anyone still watching this video these tips! - For nail polish users if you do a thick top coat first, then stamp, if you mess up just lightly wipe the design off with remover, do a new top coat and go! - Most stampers prefer you use tape to remove excess nail polish from the stamper's surface. You can also use tape to remove the polish from your skin. I can usually use one piece of tape to do all ten nails and stamper. - a plastic scrapper is better for your plates, as metal scrappers have been shown to scratch the surface of the plate and ruin the design.

Hi Suzie, I saw a lot of KZfaq vids about stamping and you might already know this by now but you should know, you can get an XL squishy stamper so it covers your entire nail on one go... also you don't have to waste so much nail polish by covering the entire design, just do a brush on the beginning and when you scrape it - it will drag and scrape it over the rest of the design... also, if you have regular nail polish below, as long as you put a top coat before stamping, it should be easy to correct or take off any mistakes. I'd also recommend using a see-though stamper so you can see where the design would go... Just found your channel today, you're really fun to listen to..

I know that this takes a little bit of prep time, but if you want those nail designs to come out flawlessly and not break as much, I take a super thin clear polish and once I have it on the transfer pad, I coat it with a veeerryyyy thin layer of polish and let it dry, and it comes out like a nail vinyl or nail sticker, and when you lay it down on your nail, you can just use really small cuticle scissors or a dotting tool around the edges of the 'diy nail sticker' to shape it to your nail size/shape. When using a dotting tool, you'd want to use a really small one, and just go around your cuticle. it should come off jn the correct shape after 1-2 go throughs if you're pressing hard enough. Just make sure your design is really pressed down onto your nail or bonded to the nail with either more clear polish, or nail glue

I can't afford to spend money on simply peel as I use a peel product a lot. Instead I can get more product by buying liquid latex. The kind used for body painting and costumes. It works the same and you can get it in different colors. I prefer clear because it starts off white and dries clear so I know I'm ready for the next step.

Ashley Kraemer I've been wondering about that, I'm seeing a lot of video tutorials mentioning it. But the only place I can think of to get it, other than ordering online is the local sex shop. I don't know if it is the same type of product or not. Can't imagine going in, asking for it & being asked why I'm not getting anything else, or asked why I want it. For nail art, of really? Right....lol

you don't need to paint the entire thing, just a line at the top or the side and scrape it.

you can also blot scotch tape to clean the stamper & it will lift off the un-used paint on the stamping pad, if you didn't want to keep wiping the stamper with remover each time :)

you could also paint the lines on the stamper when the design is on there. you can be messy too but then you peel the dried polish off, flip it over and then place it on your nail and secure it with clear polish! and then you take off the excess!!

you should definitely try the pueen stamper or creative shop - they are a lot more squishy and you can push your nail into the image - love your designs

It is also an option to color in the design directly on the stamper, applying a top coat over the entire design and applying it to the nail like a sticker. I find this easier for designs in which there contain smaller shapes because crossing over lines will not show when you remove the design from the stamper.

i find that the kleancolor nailpolishes work well for stamping, you have to work quickly with them though. Also you could look into getting the ASP manicure saver for cleaning up without using your fingers
