To clarify, The "there was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product" error *most likely* stems from failing to sign in with the correct account via Ubisoft connect. Your Steam, at one point and time, was most likely connected to a different Ubisoft email. This is a result of Ubisoft games using a separate launcher from Steam. If you are not aware of any possible emails that your game could be connected to, then you need to contact Ubisoft support to see if they can switch it back to the proper account. However, as with my experience with them, it is very difficult to do so.

I swear to God Ubisoft has one of the shittiest signings of all time I troubleshoot it for different things and it didn’t work as I was about to punch my monitor I turn off my computer turn it on and I don’t even sign in anymore and it puts me in the game Ubisoft do better

i just watched a video and that didn't help at all so i uninstalled rainbow six and am downloading it again because i launched it on another ubi account before i realized i need to log into my other account to merge my stuff together and then the problem popped up and ive unlinked everything on my other account but that didn't work I've unlinked my steam from the account im trying to use hoping it would ask me to link it before anything else but no so have i stuffed the whole thing up?
