This is the follow up video to my last Steam Deck Tutorial on cemu. This video I show how to install an Update and DLC so you can play Wii U games.

The Cemu not detecting files on C: is real menance but I found a very simple and elegant solution for those that don't use sd card or want to set up things directly from deck: Past your updates and DLC directly into emulation-roms-WiiU Then in Cemu click install DLC and open my computer, there 2 disc location will be avaliable C and Z (the system one), you'll actually wanna open Z:, navigate to deck then home and then emulation tab and directly to WiiU where the files will magically be showing. Just a nice work around for desperate people :P

@@xin0555 Ty for original video btw. If you wouldn't mention the problem of files not showing on base C drive I'd think I'm doing something wrong still as there is nothing useful online. I actually had 8GB card but it was too old for steam deck to format so your method didn't work. All in all I spent hours setting up this but at the end it was all worth it, there is actually so many games that require updates so knowledge helps.

If you can’t get the games to show up after this, go to the top right where the three lines are, turn on show hidden files, then go through the into the folders home, .local, share, cemu, then replace the keys file in there with your new one because it’s empty. Then your games might populate, I won’t promise it will fix your problem though cause it is a pretty complicated set up process.

Clutch Tutorial. The default windows file structure stumped me and this helped locate the files! Even though it wasn't under E: like in your example but in D: instead. So to anyone looking for their DS card, just keep clicking through the folders under My Computer and you should be able to find it.

I am at the same place where you ended your video, how did you set up the controller?

You have to go into settings or controller configuration in the CEMU emulator. Make sure the game is compatible with the pro controller. If it is not you have to set the controls to gamepad. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

im trying to update mario kart 8 for the wii u and cemu is saying i need the meta.xml file. where would i get that?

If you google "Mario Kart 8 Wii u dlc download" there should be a link to the internet archive that has the download. I haven't tested it myself but I think it should work. Also make sure all the keys match. Hope that helped thanks for watching!

If you dont still dont know how to access the files you have to go to root so /run/media/(your sd card) they will be there

I got it to work, but emudeck can’t add game to parse. Do you always have to launch through cemu on gaming mode?

I am not sure I haven't run into that problem. Make sure you have the right CEMU checked off in the parse option. I know there are two of them. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Where do you get the dlc update file used in the video?

Look up "BOTW Cemu Update Download" on Google and there should be a link to an Internet Archive site that has them. Hope that helps thanks for watching!

I'm having so much trouble getting my files to work. I'm guessing I'm using bad files. Can you help me out with that?

I go the DLC and Update files off internet archive. All the files, game files and keys are region specific. So make sure everything you download and the keys you use are all the same region. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

cemu crashes whenever i click on install update and dlc under files. anyone know a solution?

Maybe try downloading a different build of CEMU, or try checking of updates. It also could be your update files maybe try to find them from another site. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

It is most likely the keys, I would say go find different keys for the DLC. But in all honesty, I would say find a fork of YUZU and play BoTW on that. Thanks for watching!

If you are following the steps it should work. Make sure when you copy and paste the keys there are no extra spaces and each one is on their own line. Also try to find all the region keys for the game and put them in the key file. Hope that helps thanks for watching!
