@@fungusamongus.76ou are only nonsense dear.... Assamese speaking people ( ahom ) didn't eat pork before 😅 Anyway I love the way he cook❤❤
@Thefoodthefatthehungry Жыл бұрын
Dear.. Pork is one of the sacred food for the Ahoms. You should enchance your knowledge before putting wrong opinions on social media. During our Om Pha puja and Me Dam Me Phi puja Ahoms sacrifices Pigs, Roosters as an offering to our forefathers. Then the meat after cooked is distributed to the public. Along that rice beer is being served too. Ahoms also consume... Silkworms and Buffalo meat. Though these are personal choice.

It's absolutely hilarious how the loosely defined term "Assamese" can seemingly claim anything these days. The latest addition to their list of supposed traditions is pork being hailed as their traditional dish. To begin with, there isn't a clear and definitive definition of what it means to be Assamese. Simply basing it on geography is insufficient and doesn't capture the true essence. While it's true that the Ahom community has semi-tribal roots and does consume pork, it doesn't automatically make it the traditional dish for all Assamese people. It's important to acknowledge that not all Assamese-speaking individuals consume pork, and some are even prohibited from cooking it in their homes. What's truly amusing to witness is the irony of those same Assamese individuals who used to harbor disdain for tribal communities, labeling them as "Gahori Kowa Jat," now proudly embracing it as their own tradition. It becomes even more comical when you consider that these individuals have abandoned practices like pig farming, pork consumption, and other tribal activities to become higher caste 😂. They have distanced themselves from tribes and have even refrained from sharing a glass of water with them. Yet, without any shame, they now assert that pork is their so-called "traditional" food.

neech jati gahori khai…gahori puhe thats what they used to call tribals…on one instance a very elderly and prominent personality from my mother’s ancestral village was invited to an assamese family’s party…during lunch time they instructed him to get an areca nut sheath and wash it…that was where the elderly person was served his lunch that too being seated on the ground…so the elderly man from the village returned home and started devising plans as how to get his friend to come over amd diss out the same treatment…one day he finally succeeded in getting that assamese bura to come over to his homestead as there was some sort of small puja offering…so they had a nice meal together…after eating and exchanging quite a few friendly banter…it was time to keave…and as they stood up that was when he said to his assamese friend aami apunar lukor dorey nohoi aamar sokur aagot sob manuhe homaan…..ones who witnessed this incident tell of how red the assamese oldie’s face got upon hearing that statement…..saying this the elderly person broke his friendship with his assamese ‘higher caste’ friend😂…and these days you cant people from that particular village during weddings or other parties…( like a drooling dog, bohut moja bonaisi, bor moja bonaisi…kachari manuh gila mosti gahori banai )….saying that they’ll eat like 5 plates of pork… (aar diba ko na…aar diba ko na)😂

I donot know why bodos always try to divide Assamese. May be coz you people live in lower Assam where there are huge population of general caste. General caste people does not form the majority of Assamese population. Major groups of so called term Assamese consists of Ahoms, sutiyas etc who consume pork and not kalitas, Brahmins etc even though they are Assamese too.
@udbhashjyotinath248211 ай бұрын
Also, I never say anyone refraining from a glass of water at least in my region i.e., in Upper Assam. Even casteism is much higher in mainland India as compared to places like Assam
