Күн бұрынA quick run to test the Signal Fuels coal received today from Kemtek in Timaru. What a difference anthracite grains made to the steaming of the loco on this winter run. This fuel has the most energy density - more BTU's. Works well with the new ashpan, which the charcoal ash was clogging. The loco has that proper loco smell now

Magnificent loco. Coal is the only form of firing 16mm scale locos that is completely satisfying IMHO

Nice review David. The first unboxing of a bag of coal on KZfaq👍 The mines have not all closed and at this time anthracite will be available for the next while. Glad that the Jacinta grains work and the size is perfect for garden gauge locos.

Hello Dave, Just checking in to see how the Welsh Coal and the railway is going? We still supply Welsh Anthracite grains and Hallett steam oils for miniature locomotives. Happy in steam.

It's great Hayden! Had a run recently the Welsh Coal burns very well, I also use broken up Coco Shot bbq briquettes. A nice man supplied me with Morris steam oil, but I'm still using up my Mobil - I'm a low user. Thanks for your service

Brilliant stuff, The last Welsh coal mine has now closed, your coal will be worth it's weight in gold soon. What's the size of your blast nozzle? Cheers.

That's a pity! 20 Kg, it's my lifetime supply. The nozzle is 1.5mm

Apologies...i scanned the video. Is it fitted with an axle pump?

It has two long stroke crosshead type pumps, one on each side, I didn't know how much I'd need. One is enough, 1/8" bore for 13/16" cylinders
