Wish I was a lot older with camera in 93. Was 12 or 13, so had yo rely on my parents to get me around. Would have loved to have seen these two together like this. Thank you for sharing .

Glad you liked the video. It's not often you get to see 2 steam locos running side by side. Steamtown had all 3 of their steam engines fired up back then.

4:17 2317 did absolutely amazing with the whistle show. It sounded amazing

Wonder if the 2317s whistle from 1993 sounded different during the grand opening in 1995.

It sounded more like a Reading 6-chime than a 5-chime.

It defiantly sounded simulair like a 6 chime. I will admit it sounded nothing like the one used during the grand opening of 95. Also it was bittersweet. An 8th steam locomotives could have been invited had it not been for the inconsistent and near fatal errors on the Gettysburg Railroad. I’m talking about 1278. Had that crown sheet failure not happened it would have made it to the grand opening.
