An idea for you would be just fiat 500s, you'll get to know all the fixes, run an advert saying fiat 500 centre, maybe take some work in on them, like your fix on the blue and me thing, I've took work in for years, sometimes you can do a simple job for 100 quid as opposed to loosing or making a small profit on a car, mot work, discs, pads, servicing have kept me going, whatever you do keep it simple in future.

@@ValleyAutosBirmingham it's a good idea bud, unfortunately when you get loads of different makes you end up learning on each and it gets expensive, I sold a 500 last week, only an 08 plate, 850 bid, good vallet and got 1550 for it, not a great profit but OK for an easy flipper, usually first time buyers with their parents money so no p ex and look flash, keep to the 1.2 as well.

i did it in my senitor its fine 180,000 miles . K STEEL SEAL .i put mine in at the hotel in poland ran it half an hour went to bed next day fine still fine today , solid gasket seal

Hey Greg funniest story ever I was at knockhill race track with a friend in 2015 he heard the Peugeot 205 it started off a sunny day good for the race then by 12:00 at piss down we left at 4:00 and we saw a brand new range Rover getting pulled by a tractor we laughing The owner of the 90 Grand toy said bloody 4x4 as useless when a range Rover it couldn't drive on wet grass😅 we drove no problem in second gear.

I would sell it in a different auction, not worth trying to sell privately as people will come back even if you sell it as spares or repairs. Unless you strip it for parts. I would have a Range Rover, but plenty of money saved for parts and service. Hope Greg feels better soon. Hope you have a great week ❤

Om suprised head gasket has gone tbh these v8 are normally pretty good. Definitely the best engine to have reliability wise.

Some advise to put back through another Auction. Selling this car through the auction, without declaring this "known " fault is not lawful and will come back and haunt you due to this video. The previous owner would have tried steel seal of course

Take the injectors out, look into each cylinder to see which one is pressuring, probably be cleaner due to the water, re steel it with that cylinder disconnected, electric plug off that injector, that will give the steel seal a chance to fill the crack without the explosion blowing it out.

with the cost and time messing about with that steel seal. you could of had the faulty side stripped down and headgasket changed😊

Steel seal is a waste of time and you don’t get your money back the only one I’ve found that works is holts wonderweld take out thermostat and pour in top up with water let it tick over I’ve had it work 100% on a 6 cylinder Volkswagen diesel

No real chance on a diesel, too much compression, I've only had luck on little cars, but not many, at auction it's basically easy to check in the first place, up with the bonnet, while it's running off with the cap and you'll soon know, tbh if I can't check it out I don't bid, I got to Aston barclay and they usually leave the keys on the screen, don't buy on line or without checking it out, don't buy what you like, buy what sells with a decent profit and few problems.

So usual auction would probably want Rangerover long before auction date. At least you’ll get something back. If was a dead cert fix think you’d have long since done it. If you insisted on luxury 4x4 for yourself obviously would have to be a Lexus.

In future just stick to plain and simple cars, even if a headgaskets gone on say a fiat 500 it's an easy enough job, lumpy stuff is great for margin but can bite you hard, noticed dpf full message on the RR as well, customers demand as new and cars full of kit have loads to go wrong, keep away from jags, minis, Peugeots, corsas any range rovers, any wet belt engine and most diesels are troublesome, unfortunately a few bad cars can put you out of business, on that RR what with the work and what you'll get your going to be 3k down, no one will give you a half decent price, they'll say it wants an engine, no one wants any work these days. It's like blowing the profit from 5 decent car deals, very sobering.

@@ValleyAutosBirmingham I know mate, tough game, I've got a freelander I'm just on with, 4k with fees, barely dragged me back from the auction, in restricted performance, plus other faults, if I can't sort it it's basically scrap, so your not alone, I ended up in court over another freeloader (!) last year, ended up 2k out of pocket on that one, so basically on 2 freelanders I might be 5k out of pocket, it's unbelievable tbh.

Well did warn you not to buy it the range rover or used that steel steal it's a load of crap course they are going to say that as they want you to try it again you won't get your money back you need to get rid of the range rover your going to waisting more money keep trying to sort it out just face it You screwed up we all make mistakes no body is perfect greg
