I have the Think V1. Followed these instructions but didn't have the tool at 0:32 and couldn't get the cylinder to budge from the seat. So I used some wd40 and hammered the cylinder from the top side (where the cable connects). On the V1, you can remove the bottom seat cushion by pressing a couple plastic tabs on the underside and sliding the cushion forward, while actuating the metal crossbar in the front. That gets you to the cable and the topside of the cylinder.

If only it were that easy. Really struggling to get the base off. EDIT: Managed to remove the base using the technique in this video. Thank you! What helped was to go in a circle, pulling a different leg of the base with every couple whacks of the mallet.

Hi Peter, if your chair is currently under warranty then the best thing to do is to contact the dealer you bought the chair from, they will hopefully be able to source this for you. Alternatively, I would recommend contacting your local dealer to see if they can help: www.steelcase.com/find-us/where-to-buy/dealers/.

Hi Tom. Thanks for your comment. You'll need to go back to the Steelcase Dealer you purchased your chair from Originally. Alternatively, please refer to the Steelcase website for your nearest dealer.
