just curious, I have some of that steel flex but I only need it for a little section. Can I make an equal smaller amount and be OK?

Yep, just make sure to mix to the correct ratio and you can do any amount

Did you paint over it? What paint? Did paint stick?

Yes, I painted over it with white enamel, it stuck well -- gave it a light sand before painting. The only places it's come off has been from wear and tear, not peeling. I like having it on the bottom so I can see where the steelflex is wearing

How strong would thing be against scratches. Being dragged against rocks and concrete alot?

It would provide some additional durability but it's still epoxy so it will wear down. The upside is you can always apply more!

@@mvboutdoors Exactly. Lol I've been trying to decide between epoxy and truck bed liner. It's gonna be excessive dragging. I can't use a boat ramp and I will have to drag it either up a rocky slope and a small concrete hill.

why didnt you reset the rivets? it only takes two guys and an hour to reset a 16 ft john boat and stop the leaks . its easy to do and better than paint

All of the rivets were re-bucked prior to the bottom epoxy. 👍

You only use 1 pint? I have a 12ft I was gonna get 2 orders but seeing you have a 14ft maybe I only need 1

I wish I used two, it would have been a more even coat. I stretched it with one but with a 12ft you might be okay.
