CJ Snare of Firehouse, Freddy Curci of Sherrif/Alias, Mark Slaughter, Sebastian Bach... the late 80s early 90s had the most amazing talent in vocal power. Miljenko Mike Matijevic will always be my favorite though. He rips my soul out when he sings.

They could've been way bigger if the debut album came out in say around 85. They could've been up there with Motley, Ratt, Poison, Dokken, Warrant........well you get the point. These guys are great players. And they look cool too. They could've been bigger. Imo.

@@C4rnal063 -- I remember thinking in the 90's that Steelheart came on the hard rock scene too late --- by 1991, everything was shifting to grunge and GNR's "gritty" style of rock --- if Steelheart debut album came out in 1984, they would've been just as huge as Bon Jovi, Motley, or Def Leppard

I had the pleasure a few times of being at Mike's apartments before Steelheart got famous and seeing him rehearse these songs, highly talented young man then & even more so now. Glad I saw him when he first started out. Steelheart 4ever!!!

Saw their show in April '91 at Hammerjacks in Baltimore. They did more songs than the set list here shows. The follow-up album to this was really good as well.

This was filmed by the band. The footage from the backstage areas should have given it away. Toads Pace is not a large venue. More of a large bar than anything. If anyone had a camera in the venue, security would know right away. For anyone that’s been there it’s clear this was filmed from the sound board location.

J avais 15 ans en 1991..et je les ai entendu quelques années plus tard...je suis restée sans voix devant le talent, le sens du chaud..et la voix unique et angélique de Mickaël ... incroyable. Ce groupe a été sous estimé à l époque... Mickaël est toujours là aujourd'hui mais les autres membres?..

I mean - best PROFESSIONAL VOICE in heavy-metal. Michael Kiske number two in rating. Before Miljenco Matievic he was first.

Hold up, man. Firstly, these guys are bubble gum, candy store Poison-rock. And horrible, to boot. There's nothing 'heavy metal' about it. It's glam-rock. Secondly, guys like Geoff Tate (back-in-the-day Tate), Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson: THOSE are heavy metal singers. This guy in Steelheart is ultra-cheesy and superficial. NO THANKS.

OK OK bro ! :)) Let's not argue :)) it's just a preference :)) Someone likes this and someone likes that. The most important is the rock ! PS. I listen to rock since 1983, and listened to it in so many different bands and styles that all do not remember :))
