This is a beautiful keyboard. Thank you for the in-depth review of it, I'm buying it for my partner's birthday. I currently have a mini Red dragon keyboard, cant remember the name now, no arrow keys and it has the light press walk, and hard press run feature...I love it.

Great review, got my sub and like. I was almost getting de Roccat Vulcan, but it sounds too harsh on the sharps and mid tones. Going for the 9 TKL hands down, both same price

i had a roccat vulcan aimo 120, buit E key and space key start to not respond all the time, gorgeous keyboard but faulty one, so be carefull on buying that one, seems to be general problem

If I understand correctly the Apex 9 switches are lighter/less stiff/less spring force required to bottom down the Apex Pro switches (35 g vs 46 g) ? Thank you

it bottoms out earlier too.. 1mm shorter TOTAL travel than the apex pro( source rtings )

Late response but yes! I just set it to F7 in steelseries GG app Keyboard feels cool, kinda feels lighter and cheaper than my last steelseries keyboard (about 6 years ago but trying it out) typing feels good.

My problem with apex pro tkl I had is the key wobble. Bothers me so much while playing. Still on my huntsman v2 TKL. I just can’t play with wobbly keys.

If you want to make customs for the sake of customs then go for it, I love my bougie builds. But if you think I'm going to game on it and pretend it's optimal you're delusional. (Though I'm predicting the response that input lag "doEsn'T mAtTer" and is "n0t peRceiVabLE". In which case all I have to point as is the entire MK modding trends and raise an eyebrow about how perceivable the minutiae is) Also get this, if you actually know how to work with electronics, you can custom tweak any keyboard aside from the lego sets you get from GBs :D

@@hyjinx2889 It's the elitism that puts me off. Sure, custom boards look and sound nice, but that doesn't mean you should be shamed if you only have a "gaming" mechanical keyboard, especially if you don't have the money for any high-end custom stuff. Typing on a 10€ mechanical keyboard i got from Amazon on sale and I could not be happier, though you absolutely should try to mod any keyboard that you get, just to make it sound a bit nicer, no one i've ever met likes rattly stabs

Hate keyboards with sharp edges from the wrist side. This SS 9 TKL has sharp edge, while old version of steelseries apex pro (2019) had it smooth. Why producents of keyboards never consider this….

Well check the latency, input lag on google It decent maybe one of the best for the price Almost faster than those 8000hz polling rate keyboard from razer and Cossair

No onboard memory and you have to run the Engine software 24/7 or it will default to rainbow lighting , I'll pass.

you have 5 onboard memory profiles for custom key settings/macros. you also have 5 different lighting configurations to choose from built in. you only need to keep the software running if you want to do custom lighting. that shouldn't matter at all for gaming as there's 3 non-rainbow profiles to choose from that you can use as a backlight.

I dont recommend this keyboard. I can not put my fingers on the keyboard free even though my fingers are pretty small and light. So, it makes my hand fatigue quickly.
