The first clip 0:00 is from S28 Ep4: “Treehouse of Horror XXVII” wherein Donald Fagen (voiced by Donald Fagen) and the Steely Dan Band are performing at Duff Stadium. The second clip 1:27 is from S28 Ep8: “Dad Behavior” and features Homer singing a parody of “Dirty Work”.

Homer searching for the right Steely Dan song because they've got so many hits was understandable. I would've gone with Kid Charlemagne or Do It Again personally

Babylon Sister’s shake it. It’s just such a great song. It is pretty amazing how much gratitutiness violence can be squeezed into the intro before the lyrics start. ;> Chore Monkeys please do my dirty work

None of Homer's choices would've been good for the ensuing fight scene. He could've chose Your Gold Teeth, Bodhisattva, Black Friday... But then I suppose the scene would lose most of its humor

Ha! Remember my Dad having Steely Dan albums and tapes in the car. Couldn't be bothered as I'd just discovered early glam rock at 10 y.o. Lol really like them now,S.D. Now my father's taking a liking to old Motley Crue albums,funny how that happens. Rock on Dad!

Fantastic! 😁 Donald Fagen has 2 lines of dialogue in a very brief cameo on the "Treehouse of Horror" episode of "The Simpsons" and yet, it's still funnier and more dignified than the entire last episode of Season 23, the lowest-rated episode on IMDb. (This comment is not sarcastic.)

Exactly. I was shocked at how horrifically violent it was. This is allowed on network tv now? Haven't watched it since the early 90s and I'm glad I haven't. It's become trash like everything else on tv.

What? Steely Dan actually had an appearance on The Simpsons? …as cool as this is to discover, it’s too bad there isn’t much of a real interaction between Donald Fagen and…well…any of the Simpsons cast. Donald’s one liner is cute, but there could’ve been so much more.
