On repeat for the whole day today. Enchanted and scandalized at the same time that today is the first time I'm hearing this gem. Grew up with old-school hip hop, quite a challenge in a small town in recently communist Romania, and while I somehow managed to get my hands on a lot of the majors, this is an understandable miss. Pretty sure Nujabes and the japanese school drew inspiration from this. A bright day in self-isolation, thanks Chris!

I was born in 1981, music like this was hard to find in post USSR countries. My first hiphop tape in early 90 was - Kid Capri - The Tape! Highly recommends!

I love the beat at 26:50, I could see some animation or video going really well with that track. In a dark city patrolling around or something like that old Batman animated series that had the cool graphics from the 90s.

If you love it I recommend you go give a listen to the song the sample comes from : Hier Encore by French singer Charles Aznavour. One of the greatest to ever do it, a legend in France, and this song is one of the few to make me tear up.
