These 2 actors did an amazing incredible job as Damon and Stefan Salvatore. Anyone who's read the book series knows that the relationship they share and shared are vastly different between the books and the show. I'm usually one the people who prefer the books over the movies an TV shows. But not the case with this at all.

It was more about Stefan WHO wanted his Brother back in the end, Stefan died because he wanted his brother to have that kind of life he couldn't have, it was Damon time now This why I love Stefan so much. His compassion and forgiveness for everyone. I love every time Damon whenever he realising his mistakes that’s the real Damon Salvatore coming forward When Damon Said to Stefan that he will make his life an eternity of misery to him and kept his promise too he really did that. Even though all the bad things Damon had done to Stefan he loved Damon through it all because he knew someday he would have his Brother back Elena made that happened After all bad terrible things Damon had ever done in his life deep down in his heart he was a something good, a good person a caring loving brother, a friend, a boyfriend + and at least a loyal dedicated husband to Elena in the end Even if Damon not always admit it to Stefan he is the one who he always going to love unconditionally❤️

I don't know why people compare Salvatores with mikaelsons Mikaelson have their own style of brothers bonding and Salvatores are very different from them mikaelsons were always together sometimes they had conflicts between them but they always sorted it out on the other hand Salvatores were like best friends before becoming vampires they started hating each other but deep down they loved each other damon was little pissed at stefan because of whole Katherine thing Even Rebekah once said "The Salvatores may fight like dogs but in they will die for each other."

I love both the brother But we should agree it was always stefan first to keep their bond intact. Damon couldn't handle stefan and elena together, but stefan happily agreed to give up his love elena for his brother Stefan sacrificed himself to save his brother. When damon was injected by the ripper virus stefan didn't give up upon damon. Even after Damon killed lexi he forgave him I'm not against damon But stefan was always the one to maintain their bond strong !! Stefan is the best man he deserved better ❤️

Even though I loved Damon way more than Stefan and liked him way more too but when Stefan seen him when he come back I cried and then when Stefan give Damon his blood and took his place so he could live a happy life with Elena and have a human life again and all the other reasons Stefan did that even tho he was married to Caroline happy with her and in love and he give it all up for his brother's own happiness and life and that part really made me cry not even gonna lie lol I teared up too seeing the other scene a min ago and now tearing up more seeing Stefan die for Damon

I feel they could of resolved there issues in 1912 if Stefan apologized for going after Katherine while Damon was making a move first as well as apologizing for getting Katherine caught indirectly and apologized for giving Damon little choice but to complete the transition as well as apologizing for the reckless messes he made in 1864 as a Ripper and in return Damon tries to teach him his method of feeding on people only when hungry on selective targets like as long as they are Non Pregnant Adult Women and how to feed in a classy non messy and non aggressive way.

@matthewmann stefan had no idea about Katherine playing with both.. infact stefan was the one with whom Katherine spend most of the time while damon was out In his soldier duty or something...it was damon who knew who Katherine was and what she is..so he should have told Stefan about her but no damon was completely mad behind her and not forget stefan was 17 yrs old who got raped by Katherine while damon was an adult and who deliberately got into the whole Katherine mess
