When Elena became became a vampire her feelings for Damon were magnified. That makes sense, for when you become a vampire EVERYTHING becomes magnified. "Anger becomes rage, Sadness can cripple you..." So yeah, it makes sense that her feelings for Damon were magnified. What DOESN'T make sense is the fact her feelings for STEFEN weren't EQUELY magnified... I mean, before she went off the bridge, she loved and chose Stefen over Damon. Then STEFEN went to save her but respected her wishes and saved her friend Matt first, causing her to die. When she woke as a vampire, Damon said that he would have let Mat die and save Elena, (not listening to her wishes), it it was him. Stefan helps Elena get through the transition, and Elena states, and I quote: "I love you Stefan, and no matter what it's the best chose I ever made." Then she thinks shes falling in love with Damon because of the site bond, and when it "broke", she was still in love with Damon and not Stefan. Now either she somehow actually fell for him while she was sleeping with him cause of the sire bond which i seriously doubt, or Elena is just fooling herself trying to convince herself to love Damon when really she just felt like she a. Didn't deserve Stefan b. had put him through too much and he was better off without her c. Didn't know how to approach Stefan d. easier to stay with Damon e. Would be easier if she kept lying to herself f. All of the above Or the sire bond was just never actually broken and that's why she's still under the illusion that Damon is her soul mate. Sorry, my short comment accidentally turned into a whole rant. Again, sorry. It just really annoys me😡

I know right, I thought the exact same thing, her feelings for stefan hardly magnified yet her feelings for Damon magnified the most, I miss Stelena sooo much

wow, took the thoughts and words right out of me.. i always wondered the same thing.. i still think stefan and elena should be together, and I dont like how it happened. they could have broken them off in some other way to make more sense if they were going to do that.

I just tried to watch a Damon and Elena video to try and understand Delena shippers' minds but every time Elena would say something about her love for Damon I would audibly say "Bull crap". I mean Idk if Elena has some sort of mental problems or something but I refuse to believe that a human being can move on that quickly from what was supposed to be a person that they were in love with to that persons' brother. I can't wrap my head around it. And literally this is an example of what almost all the comments said. "Omg I swear if Stefan and Elena get back together in next season I am done with this show". I don't understand how people could have such an emotional connection with Delena when all they ever do is have sex, break up, Damon kills someone, they say they love each other, have sex an then they're all good. I actually tried really hard to be a Delena shipper at one point. Hardest 10 minutes of my life...But with Stefan and Elena it's just so... idk even know the word for it. It just seems right. I mean I love Damon he makes the show more interesting but I just don't think him and Elena are a good couple. Like when he was with that news reporter... whatever her name was, they looked really good together. I just really don't see and emotional connection between Damon and Elena. Sorry for just going on that rant I just had to say it to somebody since my sister and all of my friends that watch the show ship Delena. Sooo yaa

I just can't believe Stefan ended up with Caroline of all people wtf! He deserved better a lot better..... she was so blind she didn't see what was right in front of her.... not just that but to sleep with Damon the day of the break up wow..... still think they were meant to be.

People ( mostly Delena Shippers ) say Stefan has to get over Elena, but she is his Soulmate. Yeah,he could probably find someone else but it hurts and they're Love is 1 in a Billion. They don't come everyday. He still Loves her and probably will for the next FOREVER! It doesn't make sense why she choose Damon. i think it's because she's still a Teen. She hasn't lived long enough to know it was her 1 out of a Billion Soulmate. She will find out soon though ;) SEASON 5 A NEW BEGINNING 4 STELENA

I just don't know why many people don't like STEFAN, STEFAN is 'd most caring, understanding and lovable .. He let go off Elena just for his brother, and He understand why. He has a Pure heart as 'd witch says in season 1. LOVE HIM. Could they just bring a new girl for STEFAN, someone who don't cheat him, someone who loves him only.

My thinking is that he wants both of them to be happy,so he lets her go,and hopes she will come back to him someday in the future!!!!There's a saying that says "If you love something,let it go and it will come back to you.",and I believe that with all my heart and soul!!!! In my 1st 2 years of marriage,we separated for 2 weeks and I went to stay with some friends when we had both gotten our thoughts together we came back to each other and are about to celebrate 12 years of marriage in August and being together since April 2008!!!! It made Stefan happy to see Damon happy,so he gave that relationship to him as a gift to make up for selfishly turning him when he didn't want to be!!!!He did it to not be without his family for eternity!!!!On the other hand,all girls have a rebellious stage(some of us later than others)and want a "bad boy"lover to get it out of our system all in 1 fell swoop!!!!! In my humble opinion,Stefan is 1 of the most selfless characters on the show(only up to watching season 2,so far)that I've seen!!!!He tried to protect her from the very beginning by saving her from being trapped in the sinking car(unfortunately with her"parents"not being able to be saved)and by giving her the vervain necklace to wear so other vampires couldn't take control of her mind!!!!That shows how much he cares/cared for her all along!!!!Sorry for the long post!!!!This is all just my opinion,anyway!!!!
