The paintings of Stefan Baumann reveal the true spirit of nature by transporting the viewer to distant lands that have gone unseen and undisturbed. With the huge success of Baumann’s weekly PBS television series “The Grand View: America’s National Parks through the Eyes of an Artist,” millions of people witness for themselves the magic Stefan portrays on canvas, his passion for nature and the American landscape. By distilling his love of nature into a luminous painting of brilliant, saturated color that transcends conventional landscape and wildlife art, Baumann has captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation. Each painting becomes an experience rather than merely a picture - a vivid manifestation of his special and personal union with nature and the outdoor world. Through his mastery of light, color and artful composition, Baumann invites you to experience nature in its purity. It is no wonder that for many years distinguished American collectors, including former presidents and financial icons, have sought out his work.

You're so right, Mr Baumann, to feel sorry for me because I went to see the Grand Canyon at midday, and now I know why it did nothing for me because one needs to see it in the right light. I appreciate and feel pleased that you have given me an understanding of perspective.

Loved this, the idea of changing the world, one viewer at a time, is what speaks to me as an artist. When someone experiences your art, you want them to feel moved somehow, you want you and your artwork to be memorable and not forgotten. In short, you want to communicate soul to soul and connect. Thank you and blessings to you always Stefan...🥰🙏❤

I look at my garage crap paintings which were the best I knew how, grab one and fix it the best I know how now, then throw it back in the garage. Next year I'll fix it better. Improvement you can see! Hopefully I'll start to get some I can show somebody one of these years.

The foreground is part of, some where to live, and some where to go. It becomes part of the story. I did a painting of a Yeti, walking through snow, dragging a dead Ibex ( Goat ), behind it. The yeti was looking back over its shoulder, as it headed into the mountains. The story was told partly by the footprints and partly by the looking back, saying have I been seen?

Hi Stefan...Been watching u in past year on PBS Grand View(not knowing it was 'a Special" YEARS old).. Then I changed cable..no longer had PBS so I googled Grand View and your name and WoW your youtubes came up. Ive been watching religiously since. HOWEVER! Ive know about you for 40 years but didnt know I knew you... 40 years ago(late 1970's I went to a community ed class on painting--local teacher-- not very professional ...u know just watch me and follow along teacher). But I loved it and kinda a natural so joined a local art club and won ribbons of best in show, first and second place, sold some etc, etc. But only painted bout 4/5 yrs LiFE interfered--job/divorce etc, ..so for 40years I did not paint. Im now retired and started painting again (not good at all),,lost all 'talent' I had 40 yrs ago so I have been watching u religiously trying to .catch up.?. HERE is the very interesting connection.....while recently going thru all my old 40 yrs stored away , painting supplies..brushes, easels etc....I opened an old painting book of mine and tucked between the pages of the book was a 'flyer' -3/4 pages published --1983--by Grumbacher. Guess whose painting was on front page and who was featured article inside 2/3 pages S. Baumann!!. So I have known about u for 40 yrs but didnt recognize that I knew bout you. Life is strange...but I have taken this obscure connection as a sign that I should continue with my painting. You are a VERY knowledgeable and talented Artist! I enjoy your videos immensely.
