listen to his various versions of this song plus he recorded many of his his multiple hits several times also listen to some of his live versions u hear many variations, other artist did the same thing , listen to oliver nelsons stolen moments re recorded it 3 times oliver was a impresive tenor alto sap. sax player not to mention his many other composations people never think of in his book Patterns and improv. u year many players play those paterns .. not to linger on the same point herbin technique and soul interpation etc. make s u want to destoy your horn ive alwaaays listhened to his solo in class work ..they are masterworks stefano is his equal u can tell that he listen to the saint john coltrane.. i love his homage to elvin jones ,,,he has a nummber of tunes that fall along those trane school of thought
