This dude needs to be talked to by the overall professional tennis organization or by the tournament’s themselves. Warning, points deducted then disqualification. There is no need for opponents, officials, ball boys, fans etc to be exposed to this behavior over and over. And he will continue to do this until there are consequences. AND closer to the home front, USTA, etiquette and sportsmanship must be instilled into our juniors programs and as they advance to professional ranks. If players cannot abide by this then they can go find something else to do. I’m not a golfer but I do watch golf tournaments and one sees none of this petty, childish, petulant behavior.

nah no need to feel bad. he is great at his job. as a referee you enforce the rules, you take the insults, you listen and you enforce. you learn very early that none of the things your receive is actually personal. you start seeing it like a machine, information comes in, rule violation comes out. you dont get to call a slam without having received your fair share of insults without being completely indifferent to them. when you get involved emotionally and afterwards call some closely "in" shots "out" for the player you dont rise up to a grand slam.

@@nakisnikitas The Australian crowd might've hated Medvedev because of his match with Kyrgios but he earnt the respect of the rest of the world. Incredibly skilled player who isn't afraid to stand up for himself (like when he went off on the umpire for not stopping Tsitsipas' father from coaching Tsitsipas). On the other hand, Tsitsipas' outbursts are just completely irrational. Getting mad at the umpire for telling you that you've broken a rule (time violation)? That's what a child would do.

For me, this guy needs someone that could help him to enjoy this sport again, if he really likes to play. Because it’s attitude is different from the typical crazy tennis player. There are some kind of patterns like his facial expressions, his way to spread feelings, his behaviour with other players… of course I’m not sure but I feel he’s not happy. And it’s not a question of results. If I was him I will change environment and leave the family. They’re not helping him now

Sadly Stef got the blame when in actual fact Murray was just salty that he was being sent home 1st round? I remember when Medvedev was defaulted from the tournament when he said to the umpire that she and the opponent were friends in a jokingly manner. He was somehow called racist because both the umpire and opponent were black... On the other side we have Tsitsipas being openly xenophobic towards French people and he gets absolutely nothing.
