It could have been called PI on either player. There were about 3 bad no calls on this game, but that pass was not one of them.

So usually a PI happens either if a corner physically gets in the way of a receivers running route or if they hold the reciver, inhibiting that player from being allowed to catch the football. Sauce had his arm draped on davis but you can tell he isnt pushing or “holding” davis. If anything you can see gabe davis try to push sauce, but since sauce had his arm over him, he kept his balance and swatted the ball away. Clean play. ALSO: as a corner u dont need to look at the ball, there is just a higher chance you will be called for a penalty since if your not looking at the ball theres a greater chance you were messing with the receiver. To me its clear sauce was looking at gabes eyes and head and stuck his arm up in an attempt to knock down the football. I hope this explanation makes sense when you watch the play.

Because gabe had his arm extended and was pushing off so sauce really didn’t have to look back for the ball.. that’s how the refs see it 🤷🏽‍♂️
